I have a question . what do you think about english development in Indonesia ? especially in our daily life ? would you mind tell me the reason ? and do you agree if in Indonesia, English become 2nd language ?

Is it safe to travel in Indonesia at the moment?

I am thinking about going to Indonesia in September for a few weeks but the travel warning in my country is saying EXTREME risk of a potential terrorist attack in the near future. Anyone know anything about this? I probably got more chance of being struck by lightning right!?!

Travelling through Indonesia - 35gb for 35 days?

Hey guys,
In two weeks i'm leaving to travel through Indonesia for 35 days. I've currently got 27gb of compact flash cards, but will most probably buy another 8gb card to make it 35gb all up for the trip.
I'm a bit heavy on the old trigger finger (but hope to learn not to be), and would love to hear peoples opinions on whether or not this will be enough storage. 1gb per day? It seems like it may be enough, but while in Europe I did use 27gb in 18 days...

First of all, I havent played MM in a while, so I might be wrong about this. It has always bothered (not in a bad way) that the Indonesian archipelacho lacks some historical accuracy. For example, by 1453 the sultanate of Aceh only ruled the northern tip of Sumatra (and rarely more), the Majahapit empire was still around (but was on the verge of destruction), the sultanate of Brunei ruled only the north of Borneo and there were a lot of sultanates and a few hindu kingdoms on other island...

Hiking in Indonesia?

I am thinking about a trip to Indonesia in July. Probably Jakarta->Lombok->Bali. 1-2weeks, going over to practice the language and visit a school. I would be interested in considering a hiking trip somewhere around there. I know there are lots of volcanoes, so scenery might be vastly different than anything we have seen before.
Any suggestions?

Matrix/Venus (Indonesia) STBs any info?

Hi,
I am currently in Indonesia. I am thinking about buying an STB to take with me when I leave as STBs are quite cheap here. The two main brands sold here in local shops are "Matrix" and "Venus". Are these patchable? Can keys be entered? (The Indonesian-made "Venus Millenium II EP" won a Tele-Satellite Magazine award!). The RS-232 socket on the back of some of these STBs is NOT a SUB-D 9, but is labelled "RS-232" !
