2. A different thread prompted me to do this   (10 May 2009)
There was a thread last week about a fellow thinking about leaving his wife and it hit home for me. To start, I am a regular member here but registered a new name to keep this from going somewhere I am not ready for it to go to and as the user name says I am ashamed. I have been married for 20+ years, have children and a grandchild. My marriage seemed to be going ok untill I met this woman. Now I am thinking about my marriage, it is dull and mundane. We say "I love you" to each other but it seem...

3. July Prompt: The Senses   (01 Jul 2009)
Hey there guys! The Mad Monkey, Luekman, chose to foist this month's prompt on me and my big mouth, so this is your punishment for his crimes. Feel free to kill Luekman at any time. We'll feed him to Haggis. This month's prompt is, you guessed it, all about the senses. In stories, we use these senses to connect with our reader, to make them connect with our character(s). We describe. Not so easy this time. You have 1500-3000 words. Your main character(s) MUST try to escape from some preternatura...

4. Focus On Money In US Senate Race Prompts Rand Paul To Consider A Bomb   (05 May 2009)
http://bluegrassbulletin.typepad.com...er-a-bomb.html Focus On Money In US Senate Race Prompts Rand Paul To Consider A Bomb So far in the race for the United States Senate seat held by two term Northern Kentucky baseball hall of fame pitcher Jim Bunning, the focus has been on money. How much has Bunning raised, how much has McConnell dried up his sources, how much Monkey Business Mongiardo has raised, how much it will take to win, are all questions which appear routinely in the press. KyPolitics...

5. Orient fans have painful Hearnia to think about   (08 Jun 2009)
Just spent much of my afternoon writing a column for the Orient rivals site. I usually do "Match Previews" but have come up with this fairly emotional piece. Quote: : After fourteen years in charge we look back on Barry Hearn's rein as Orient chairman and look ahead to the future and discuss what that holds for Barry and most importantly, the club. Quote: : In 1995, Leyton Orient Football Club's one hundred and fourteen existence looked to be in jeopardy when chairman Tony Wood lost his coffee g...

6. Attacks could prompt premature retirements: Bayliss   (22 Apr 2009)
SYDNEY: Sri Lanka coach Trevor Bayliss thinks some cricketers could shorten their international careers rather than tour potential trouble spots in the wake of the terror attacks on his team in Pakistan last month. Bayliss was on the Sri Lanka team bus when it was ambushed by a dozen or more heavily armed gunmen en route to the stadium on March 3 for the second Test against Pakistan in Lahore. Seven members of the Sri Lanka contingent, include players and an assistant coach, were injured in the...

7. Thinking about a Smart Car??   (14 Apr 2009)
I've always told myself people were not very sensible for buying these small cars but now I have proof!! http://editorial.autos.msn.com/article.asp...umentid=1009578 Quote: Minicars made by Toyota, Honda and Daimler AG did poorly on frontal crash tests with mid-sized automobiles, prompting an influential safety organization to suggest consumers consider buying larger cars that have comparable fuel economy. The Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit and smart fortwo all collapsed upon impact into the space arou...

so, I have some pretty hardcore HPPD, used to have horrible DP/DR but have kicked it for the most part. I highly suggest falling in love with someone who understands your situation! I love this girl so much, I don't care if this is all a dream, its a happy one now. anyways. during the really bad DP/DR time, I got my mom to make me an appointment over the phone to talk to a psychologist, who promptly started gibbering off scary words like psychosis, schizophrenia, ect ect. as if I hadn't already...

9. Thinking about Converting from D&D 4E   (16 Jun 2009)
So, I've been running a group of people on an every-other-Saturday 4e game for a few months now. At first, everything was great; I was using a pre-planned adventure, with maps and minis and everything else. However, my love was lost when I realized I would have yo actually map out dungeons, and pay lots of money for new minis and tiles. Plus, the pre-game prep-work was killing me. When we finish up the story-arc we're on, I'm going to pitch a system switch to the group. Normally, I hate system s...
