Keeper League looking for a new GM (for a succesful DET team)

In our Fantasy Keeper League (called MHL) we have Detroit Red Wings whose GM was fired due to inactivity and therefore the Wings are currently without a GM. The funny thing is that the team is currently playing in MHL's Stanley Cup Final and could very well win the whole thing, so you'd be getting a very good team to run if you show enough interest towards this opened GM position. But after the MHL finals there's a short contract extension period where every team is given another chance to sign...

I use a combination of pre nfl rankings (talent based) with nfl draft position and apply VBD principles using a 3 year rolling window. I don't make precise projections especialy with so much still unknown but I do consider a range I might expect each player to perform in if they are successful. How likely I expect their success to be is another factor. Using draft history by position you can get an idea of a players success rate for their position by the round they were drafted in. Yet another long post for a simple question.

I found this expression in the second article of Maciej Zaremba's series "I väntan på Sverige".

My opinion on the expectations for grading the trade deadline:

Initial thought: Get rid of him. He's not part of winning now or later and the Orioles are lucky (very lucky) he's generated any value at all. You won't get FA compensation for him.
Expectation: Modest return 1 or 2 second tier guys (like Freel deal), maybe lower level that don't have to be on the 40 for several years (like draft picks from 2007/8). Move the salary. Work one of the AAA releivers into the bullpen
