Being bored, I have decided that now is the time to begin making predictions for the next presidential election. State the two candidates you think will run, and preferably make a map and little scenario describing it. Of course, these will be ridiculously far off the mark, but it will be interesting to examine how the opinions and thoughts of people changed over time.

Conflicted Opinions and Predictions

Here are some predictions posted on these boards over the last 4 days:
1. Market will fluctuate between flat and 10% below current level.
2. Market will go up 10% or more.
3. Market will "yo-yo" for 18 months; no urgency to buy.
4. Market will drop 5% towards the end of 2009.
5. Market will not "go negative" in 2009 (won't drop >5% from here).
Crazy, hey?

The Qld Govt subsidy, which I think is about 8.5 cents a litre, ends on Wednesday, so all sorts of predictions and dire threats are floating around about the impact. I got in early and filled up today for diesel 118.9 minus Coles 6 cents a litre. The Opposition is predicting price gouging and rises above 9 cents a litre, while Premier Anna Bligh says anything above 6 cents would be unacceptable (not sure how she chose 6 cents when the subsidy is about 8.5 cents). Do you think about your future style? Will it be different?

I'm curious as to whether you guys think about your future style, what you will be wearing in say 5 - 10 years from now, and whether you save or keep certain clothes for this reason, clothes that you would otherwise sell.
I personally have a few things that don't mesh with my current style, but I think that they might in the future as I mature/my style changes, so I've kept them for this reason.
Also, do you think your style will be different in the visible future (it is probably hard to predict...

Interpreting Weather Predictions

For most places I fish, I have at least 2-3 weather links that I consult prior to a fishing trip. This year, seems I have encountered a lot of adverse fishing conditions. It got me thinking about how this happens is it really the weather predictor's fault.
On many days as I get information about the weather, I will get 1/2 of the reports predicting decent weather and 1/2 predicting adverse fishing weather. I believe, like most fishermen, I am optimistic about my chances and I place a whole lot m...

i know it's way too early but already thinking about next seasons' predictions. I had the ideay already last season but didn't want to bring it but i want to make it a bit more risky. I know it wasn't the most easy season to predict so therefor i still have my doubts. that's the reason why i start this poll and it's all about this: i'll keep it almost the same only that i would choose a bold game where you can score 3 points or none . that means you'll have to predict the correct score to earn 3...

So I know it's early in the offseason, and I know we do this often but I am interested to hear what everybody's predictions are for next year after trades, rookie's moving up, retirement etc. PLEASE BE REALISTIC!!! Think about what we have, who we have on the farm, what cap space we have to acquire players with and so on. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!
