Thinking about getting FIOS

I live in northern NJ and have had Cablevision for my TV and internet for years. I've had no problems with them and the service is good if there's ever a problem. The only problem I have is that it's expensive. If I switch to Verizon FIOS, I can save $60 per month.
Can I get some opinions from the people who have FIOS? Is the internet as fast as Cable? Is the TV picture clearer? Is it worth it to change or am I just opening up a can of worms?
My neighborhood's all wired for FIOS, did anyone have...

Thinking about getting a daily-driver for about £2k

hey all,
I'm thinking picking up a bit of a runabout, just for toing and froing from work and general duties. Although I'm on a bit of a budget, don't want to spend more than £2k.
My requirements are:
1. It must be reliable.
2. Mechanically sound.
3. Decent condition (obviously as good as possible).
4. Economical to run.
5. Relatively easy to maintain by a DIYer (I'm no mechanic, but I'm not a retard either, so can learn from haynes/internet forums etc).

I've been trying to DL the NCAA FB 10 Demo all day for 360 and PS3. It's been slow as shit and pissing me off. I have hooked the internet directly to the 360 and PS3 at different times, yet it doesn't help. When I was trying the 360, I unplugged the PS3 and vice versa. I even got off the internet for a couple of hours 3 hours later, I'm 9% into the 360 demo.
Everytime I have called Comcast in the past, they tell me my ping is fine. I know Cable Internet slows down when people around the neighbor...

Thinking about replacing AppleTV with MacMini

I've been thinking really hard lately about replacing the AppleTV with the MacMini. I am going to use it to watch movies, tv shows and occasionally use the internet. I have a few concerns and questions about doing this.

Mega 100WR2 - No Internet Connectivity Through LAN & WAN - Opinions Please...

As stated above I have a router with me that has all the correct settings in to give internet connectivity.
I have tried two different accounts that are definitely functional & have reset the router to restore factory defaults. With no success

For a long time now i've been using my phone as a modem to connect to the internet and i'm not very happy with it anymore. The speeds are slow and it's very unreliable. Hey everyone! I'm thinking about switching to the N97. I'm a hard core blackberry user (I'm on the Bold right now, and I've had almost every device on the market), and I'm kind of done with it's archaic OS. I mean, don't get me wrong, the phone TECHNICALLY does what it does perfectly, which is instant messaging and instant emailing. but I need a better operating system that's more open!
