Philly area residency feedback?
(28 Apr 2009)
Hi,
I just discovered this website . I tried to do a search for the info I need but i can't really find anything... I was hoping I could get some feedback on surgical residencies in the Philadelphia area. I'm currently a 3rd year at a med school in NY. My husband was just told he's being transferred to a position in the Philly area in January, so it looks like I"ll be headed that way too. There's a limited number of options (approx 15 by my count?) so I'll be applying to all, but I was hoping to...

What numbers will Maclin/McCoy wear in Philly???
(26 Apr 2009)
I know this is a pretty stupid thread, but I am very eager to get a Jeremy Maclin jersey. I personally think he'll go for #19, which would be pretty cool.
Lorenzo Booker is 25, so i wonder what McCoy will take
I'm thinking about just ordering a black Maclin Mizzou jersey...it looks pretty awesome...

Something to think about....
(07 May 2009)
Now Im not saying I would rather have this happen but look at this.
Philly had the number 21 and 28 picks
We got the number 28 instead of 21
At number 21 Alex Mack goes
If we could of worked out a deal for 21 instead of 28 we would prob have Mack
Just something to think about

Ricky Romero tonight @Philly? WHIR
(16 Jun 2009)
Seeing that Romero is pitching at Philly tonight, I'd think about benching him. But I did that when I saw he was pitching in Texas last week and he was fantastic. Plus, Philly struggles a bit against lefties. Anyone starting him tonight against Philly?

So I wanna make some philly cheese steaks
(12 Jun 2009)
Okay, all this talk of Italian beef sandwhiches has made me hungry for a Philly cheese steak for dinner, BUT what to use for beef? Steak-um's are out. I've seen recipes that use deli-sliced roast beef, but somehow that don't sound right? I was thinking about getting a thick rib-eye, but it would be a royal pain to slice it real thin, maybe the butcher could do it for me. Or I could try partially freezing it, then cut it with an electric knife. What do you guys think? BTW this is becoming my favo...

Atlanta/Philly
(17 May 2009)
Atlanta sends:
SG Joe Johnson
Philly sends:
C Samuel Dalembert
SF Thaddeus Young.
Reason for Atlanta: Thaddeus Young is a Young 20 year old kid that just put up a 15/5 year including a 21 PPG month in March. His ability to score on/off the ball makes him a much more efficient and deadlier weapon then Joe Johnson. Added to this is the shotblocking of a Samuel Dalembert. A Dalembert/Horford front-lines will be very deadly for years to come and they can easily play for one another giving them at le...

Philly Vegan -
(04 May 2009)
Hello all,
Bri, here. So it's two thirty am here in Philadelphia. I am supposed to be working on a paper due in a couple hours but my stomach is growling and all I want in a vegan cheesesteak from Gianna's. I'm a 2D fine arts student at Moore College of Art. I have been vegetarian since I was thirteen and vegan since I was eighteen. I moved here last summer and pretty much as soon as I was out of my folks' place I became vegan. It wasn't like I was counting down the days to leave bumblefuck, PA...

Philly Area Car Stereo Shops
(13 May 2009)
I am thinking about installing a sub in my car. Nothing big, but just something to give it a little more down low.
The problem is that, and maybe it is just me, how familiar are these shops with dealing the iDrive since I am looking to keep everything else stock?
Anyway, I am looking for recomendations of shops to go to. If you have a website to point me too also, that would be cool.
Thanks!

Contemplating HG + seals +belt job near Philly, Help?
(05 May 2009)
Title says speaks for mosy of it. Well, I m thinking about doing some work on my car, but do not have any experiemce taking the engine apart. I know that there are thousands of learning tools, and step by step procedures, along with the knowlegeable people on here. I just dont feel comfortable doing this by myself. I dont know when I will be doing this (should be soon though) and have not bought the parts yet, just wanted to know who would be willing to make a trip and help a fellow PPhead out....

Hello,
I saw this newspaper quip posted in Fairmount section of the board.
