President Obama says:
"What we're looking for is some signal that there are going to be changes in how Cuba operates that assures that political prisoners are released, that people can speak their minds freely, that they can travel, that they can write and attend church and do the things that people throughout the hemisphere can do and take for granted," he said.

False floor plans and ideas.. Need plenty of opinions and inputs!

I am going to start on this project very soon so I thought I'd start planning right now..
Here is what I wanted to do.. I did not want to sacrifice my whole cargo area so I got my sub box made to take up only half of the whole cargo space so I can have half of the space to store things or whatever..
And then I realized that I have no place to mount my kicker 2500.1 which is a fairly large amp so I decided that I would want to build a false floor with plexiglass on the other half of the cargo spa...

Hi
New to the forum and first post. I got an Imola Red E46 '02 325Ci M Sport last week and have realised the standard stereo isn't up to much! What would be your thoughts on the following setup, keeping the standard Business Cassette head unit :
Amp - JBL GTO75.4 - 104 watts RMS x 4 channel at 4 ohms / 600w Peak
Front Components - JBL GTO-506ce 13cm Component Speakers
Rears - JL AUDIO XR525-CW 5-1/4" 1-Way 120W Midbase Speakers
I have very little experience in car audio, so don't know if this is...

The Green Revolution: False Sense of Security?

Today I was thinking about the recent rising demand for clean sources of power, electric cars, energy efficient appliances, recyclable products, etc.
It occurs to me that while these things will curb some of the damage to the environment, that it is ultimately providing a false sense of solving the real problem.

Why not build 4 acoustically transparent false walls?

Has anyone ever built a custom theater with 4 AT false walls? Sure the front one could house your screen and front speakers, but the sides could hide speakers and the rear could hide your rears and all your AV equipment. Couldn't they be black? You'd have wonderful hidden access to everything. Since its fabric you could even make your room an odd shape like an oval, circle, star

I encountered performance degrade going from 1 thread to 2 thread for embarrassing parallel programs.
Each thread heavily accesses (read/write) some object fields, but one object is not accessed by both threads.
However, because the hotspot JVM does not necessarily align the object according to cache line, it is possible to
have two objects share the same cache line. For example, o1 and o2 are two objects of class Foo:

Breeder false advertising? Need advice

Got a call at the paper.
Man drove over 3 hours to my area to purchase a "wolfdog" for $750.
Got home and he says someone else said "You got duped. That's a mutt."
So the man then has two DNA tests done and he says the tests, in fact, prove there is no wolf in the puppy. Came back sib. husky, german shep., and a few others, twice.
He calls me to see if we can do anything at the paper because, he says, she's false advertising.
This breeder's Web site says pups come with certification, but I'm not...
