1. BR: Predicting The 2009 NFL Dark Horses and Trojan Horses   (25 Jun 2009)
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...rses/show_full Predicting The 2009 NFL Dark Horses and Trojan Horses by Savior Edwards (Contributor) June 23, 2009 Preview/Prediction With the exception of recent dynasties like the Patriots and Steelers, the NFL is still rife with parity. And as a result, every year there are teams that come out of nowhere and shock the NFL world. After finishing last place the previous season in their respective divisions, last year we saw several teams like the Eagles, D...

2. Predicting a 5th+6th pick for the 2nd overall pick.   (24 Jun 2009)
Just something I am thinking about and I have a feeling that no way that Memphis would not do it. And then Minnesota would draft Rubio with that pick... watch it happen

3. Wal Mart Buying Up Own Stock...Predicting Market Fall   (09 Jun 2009)
On Tue, 9 Jun 2009 03:46:53 -0700 (PDT), Wide Eyed in Wonder <kands00@hotmail.com I was puzzled in hearing, yesterday, that Wal Mart was going to buy up it's own stock. There is only one conclusion that I could come to as to why they did it. I asked others for their opinions..all confirmed my conclusions. The only reason we could come up with is that they wanted out of the market...specifically, they wanted less market influence on the company. Why? Think about that. WHY would Wal Ma...

4. Interpreting Weather Predictions   (18 May 2009)
For most places I fish, I have at least 2-3 weather links that I consult prior to a fishing trip. This year, seems I have encountered a lot of adverse fishing conditions. It got me thinking about how this happens is it really the weather predictor's fault. On many days as I get information about the weather, I will get 1/2 of the reports predicting decent weather and 1/2 predicting adverse fishing weather. I believe, like most fishermen, I am optimistic about my chances and I place a whole lot m...

5. Predict the fuel price rise in Qld on Wednesday   (28 Jun 2009)
The Qld Govt subsidy, which I think is about 8.5 cents a litre, ends on Wednesday, so all sorts of predictions and dire threats are floating around about the impact. I got in early and filled up today for diesel 118.9 minus Coles 6 cents a litre. The Opposition is predicting price gouging and rises above 9 cents a litre, while Premier Anna Bligh says anything above 6 cents would be unacceptable (not sure how she chose 6 cents when the subsidy is about 8.5 cents). So, I predict the companies will...

6. What does California think about their illegals now?   (27 Apr 2009)
On Mon, 27 Apr 2009 13:33:31 -0400, "Lee Bell" <pleebell@bellsouth.net I just watched a video on the outbreak of the new swine flew, considered to stand a good chance of becoming the catastrophic epidemic that scientists have been predicting for years. Hopefully, they're wrong again, but you never know. What's interesting about this disease is that it seems to have originated in Mexico and has been brought to the US by illegal immigrants. I wonder how many liberals are now having s...

7. Unasked for opinions about medical decisions   (10 May 2009)
I guess I'm not really asking for advice since I'm pretty sure I did the only etiquettely correct thing there was to do. I also know that I pretty much set myself up for it since I divulged personal medical information with a colleague. Still, I thought it was pretty rude so I thought I'd share the incident here. It's been a pretty horrid year and a half for me. I've had one issue after another. Both medical, professional, and personal. I finally got around to dealing with the medical issues and...

8. Laughing my ass off thinking about the many idiots in the newsgroup......   (01 Jun 2009)
On Mon, 1 Jun 2009 21:32:09 -0700 (PDT), Deuce <rubyaddict@hotmail.com Amazing how people were predicting a Calendar Slam for Nadal until only a few days ago. To me, when I put Federer's wins and loses over the years, I seem to like him even more because his game is stable and steady unlike others who come and go in a span of a few years. Nadal may be a bad match up for Federer on slow surfaces just like a few others have been, but you don't find Federer losing to unknowns in grand slams....

9. Predict the opening night roster contest   (26 May 2009)
Let's see who can make the best predictions of the opening night roster. There are 15 roster spots - whoever fills most of them correctly wins. Predicting that a roster spot won't be used counts as "filling" the roster spot correct - just say "empty spot" for every roster spot that you don't think will be used. Refrain from arguing about the merits of moves or stating opinions - there's plenty of other threads for that. Also don't say what you think should happen; instead you should predict what...

10. TSN Blog: NFL predictions= NFC EAST (warning Iggle Homer)   (02 Jun 2009)
Westy? http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/tcote13/192816 Click link for entire article NFL predictions= NFC EAST Since there is no NFL news around that really matters, I figured I would throw together some super-really early NFL predictions.... Today I would like to take a look at the NFC EAST. 1.Philadelphia Eagles - I can't think of any other team I could have picked to win this division If Westbrook can stay healthy, he will again be one of the best RB's in the League, Donavan has a shiny new W...
