All right, at this stage it's still KDE, which is why I have say I plan to keep on using it, but it's been hurt really badly by the transition.
The more I think about it, the more it occurs that my subject title for this thread probably does not pay justice to the developers. It may look as if they have taken a gnome-like approach, but upon looking further it rather seems that they are altering features that they fail to understand. I have been in a lot of "software engineering" debates, perhaps too many. It is frustrating that there are heavy opinions about the "right way" to make software, but no easy way to objectively compare them to settle long-standing arguments. I have been pondering and studying why this is the case, and think I am finally able to articulate an answer.
If the software discipline is "science", then the scientific process should be available to settle arguments. But it seems to fail. Some suggest that...

Feedback for possible template for new posts

Recently, you will have noticed that there are quite a few posts in help sections that are just plain confusing to understand or perhaps there are no syntax tags and etc. The idea I came up with was having it so that when you would click create new topic in the help section, the default message would be a template that would able to be filled out. Shell programming and file descriptors - and improving same

So in my continuing quest to make a better Unix shell I've been reading up on a few shell features I was never entirely familiar with before - specifically redirection to different file descriptors, Korn shell coprocesses, and so on... Well, as promised, I am going to outline how I took an IBM R-40 laptop that had Windows XP SP2 installed and turned it into a multi-boot system using the grub boot manager and the Gparted partitioning tool.
