1. generic drug price gouging   (20 Apr 2009)
generic drug price gouging   I think everyone should be aware that most generic drugs (those drugs no longer on patent) are being drastically overpriced by many pharmacies. I recently was told by my doctor that a prescription he was giving me should cost $4 for a month's supply because it was a generic form and had been on the market for many years. When I went to the local discount pharmacy to have it filled it was $29. When I questioned that price I was told that Walmart would sell it to me at...

2. IRB DECIDE TO ERADICATE GOUGING   (01 Jul 2009)
IRB.COM/Planet-rugby, etc., etc. Quote: : The IRB have vowed to address the issue of gouging as a matter of urgency in order to "send out the strongest possible message" that gouging will not be tolerated. Quote: : In a statement released on Wednesday, the game's world governing body said: "The IRB are firmly of the view that there is no place in rugby for illegal or foul play and the act of eye-gouging is particularly heinous. In light of recent high-profile cases, the IRB is launching a review...

3. Boks apologise for gouge comment following Schalk Burger incident   (30 Jun 2009)
Boks apologise for gouge comment following Schalk Burger incident From correspondents in Johannesburg, South Africa June 30, 2009 South Africa officials have apologised for comments after the Springboks win over the British and Irish Lions that gave the impression they condoned eye gouging. Springbok enforcer Schalk Burger was earlier banned for eight weeks for gouging Lions winger Luke Fitzgerald in his country's dramatic second Test 28-25 victory on Saturday that sealed a series win. Burger wa...

4. Who is responsable for the current price gougeing???   (13 Jun 2009)
I`m curious. Since last year at this time the scrap brass and lead prices have dropped to less than half. However, did ammo drop any? Who is responsable for the high prices, the mfg., the wholeseller or the retailer? I know the rumors have created this mess just like when clinton got elected. But, I trust clinton much more (about as far as I could throw him) than I do this new prez thing. What is your opinion?

5. Predict the fuel price rise in Qld on Wednesday   (28 Jun 2009)
The Qld Govt subsidy, which I think is about 8.5 cents a litre, ends on Wednesday, so all sorts of predictions and dire threats are floating around about the impact. I got in early and filled up today for diesel 118.9 minus Coles 6 cents a litre. The Opposition is predicting price gouging and rises above 9 cents a litre, while Premier Anna Bligh says anything above 6 cents would be unacceptable (not sure how she chose 6 cents when the subsidy is about 8.5 cents). So, I predict the companies will...

6. Ammo in stock, so they say   (05 May 2009)
So I just got this email, of ammo in stock... there are 14 pages to browse through and the prices are not the best at all... me personally, I wouldn't buy most of what they are listing, although there are a few things that caught my eye... http://www.hipointpro.com/pop/18/1/Ammunition.aspx Opinions? Me personally, I don't know if I am THAT desperate for ammo, but I guess the question is, what is it worth to other people who need it right now, ignoring the price gouging that is starting to happen...

7. Sanding factory fenders ?   (07 Jun 2009)
I was just wondering if anyone has tried to sand the factory unpainted fenders ? Last time I took the jeep out a rock reached out and touched the factory fender in the back, gouging it. Not too bad though, just deep enough. I was just wondering if anyone had given it a try , to sand the factory fenders to a smoother finish. I don't know how this will look, But I have been thinking about doing this to get rid of the gouges. If anyone has tried this or has any pictures that would be great . If not...

8. Not to be all melodramatic, but I came closer than I care to think about ...   (26 Jun 2009)
I was driving down the 99 in the late afternoon to go spend my weekend in sunny, scenic Fresno, when the semi up ahead of me in the fast lane blew a tire. I had to swerve to avoid getting a windshield full of giant tire remnants, I hit some gravel in the median, and next thing I knew my car was on the other side of the highway and all I could see out my windshield was grass. Apparently the car carved a 50' gouge out of the median, skidding along mostly on the front bumper, before returning to th...

9. Camaro on dealer lots   (05 May 2009)
Stopped by 2 Chevy dealers today to look at the new Camaro. Each dealer had 2 cars, Lonestar Chev and Champion Chev, both in the Houston area: Silver LT RS Orange 2SS Maroon 2SS Orange 2SS All were sold. The salesman at Lonestar said they are selling over sticker but not how much. Champion said they are selling at $6k over sticker. Not to surprised by that, I'm sure the price gouging will continue through early summer at least, unless Chev is going to flood the market. I was really impressed the...

10. States holds price gougers to account   (21 May 2009)
