Allen Iverson ????
(02 Jul 2009)
What's up with this ? Allen Iverson could have an early retirement ? Earlier today on ESPN I saw a video on free agents about where they might land and the guy had said Iverson could face an early retirement? He has made Detroit a little down but hey he has to get an offer. Its A.I. RIGHT ? Look my point is that the role A.I had taken last year was difficult for him. Yea i understand the bench thing but he went from avg. 40 min a night to about 18-25 min. ITS ALLEN IVERSON. THE GUY WHO UM MADE T...

Allen Iverson to Knicks?
(08 Jul 2009)
For the MLE or the veteran's minimum - wouldn't be a bad choice.
Think about it....
1) NY - If you're career is on the slide down, the best way to go out is here in NYC. Endorsements + future career opps loom here.
2) AI + LeBron share the same agent if that's any incentive for 2010
3) AI can flourish in this system. I know we say that about everyone, but think about it. This can be good for him.
4) We need a proven player at the SG position.
Might not be a bad pickup. But would he take an offer...

Sports Opinion: Allen Iverson
(18 Apr 2009)
I found this article to be really well writen in my opinion. It is about Allen Iverson, but it touches on race, economy, and things a lot of us have on our mind.

Quote: : No question, Iverson was never the Answer
DETROIT - No one wants to blame The Answer. We never do. He reminds us of our own shortcomings and failures.
In the pantheon of spoiled, media-cuddled, overhyped professional basketball players, Allen Iverson reigns supreme.

This might seem stupid but...
(03 May 2009)
...what does everyone think about taking a flier on Allen Iverson on a one-year deal?
Yes, I realize it would be incredibly risky, but, IMO, the reward MAY be worth it. It would certainly be unexpected, but you never know...usually you've got to take some risks to get to that next level.

Just what is a Superstar?
(02 Jun 2009)
Westbrook36 is a long time respected poster on our Philadelphia forums, whose opinions I agree with other then his demoralizing Boston due to the Philly/Boston rivalry. Yes, we hate Boston's guts and I'll never root for anyone that's donning Celtic Green in my life. But I can acknowledge a good team and good player when I see one. KG is a HOF PF/C that will go in the hall, even if you don't take his title into consideration. One of Westbrook's latest opinions is that we need a superstar. This "n...

Is this the Golden Age of the NBA?
(15 Apr 2009)
Quote: : According to the media, announcers, talking heads and most fans there is a lot of history playing in the NBA right now.
Tim Duncan is universally announced as the best power forward ever, and Kevin Garnett is right there with him.
Kobe Bryant (whether true or not) has been called "the best basketball player on the planet" for years now, and is widely accepted as the best shooting guard without the initials MJ in NBA history...and Dwyane Wade is waiting in the weeds to join the party.
