I have watched from a distance the ongoing battle to *regain" Truck.Net. I have kept quiet, with minor exception and I figure now is as good a time as any to hit the fan with it.

While staying "on topic" or at least in the neighborhood is a definite goal, this board''s thread closures take it to an extreme level. Seriously draconian - it is VERY difficult (for me, at least) to get any sense of "community" when it feels like stepping outside a topic for a micro-second will cause a thread closure.
In the one instance where I''ve stepped out of topic for more than a post and the thread was moved by a moderator (rather than being closed) so that the new "off-topic" conversat...

Now, not tomorrow or next week, we shall discuss the forbidden topic on message boards, religion. This issue is quite touchy for many people, so Id like to ask anyone in the topic to be open to criticism and other ideas different from your own.

Five months ago, Spawndemon put his arm around my shoulders, pointed towards Total Battlefield, and said "Someday this will all be yours. Well, actually it's yours now. Have fun; try not to break anything." As I looked deep into his eyes, I could see that they had been jaded by the responsibility of running Total Battlefield in all its iterations for all these years. About two weeks ago I read a story about one of the worst cases of child abuse ever. I don't want to give details because I don't want anyone else to feel the same pain I am feeling. I cried and cried. So now two weeks later, I still can't stop thinking about this. I have asked my husband repeatedly, why would people do this, or didn't they know? I'm new to the board - have been an Indy Car fan since I was a kid.
I have my own opinions about CART/IRL. This topic is not about any of that, so please don't go there.
This is a thought about the Kansas race that popped into my head, especially after re-watching the 2000 and 2001 CART Michigan 500 races.
I remember reading a few comments on here that the passing and lead changes were extremely lacking at Kansas. I agree. It reminded me of what oval racing was in the early to mid 1990's with CA...

I love it for the Cavs. Shaq is 37-38. but you know what? he played good last year, and you know what else? even though hes far past his prime, hes still 7'1 325 lbs. and one more thing, they didn't give up much for him.
Ben Wallace isn't as good as Shaq despite being younger. Sasha is no big loss.
Imagine LeBron with his passing ability driving to the hoop and dumping it in to Shaq....who is going to get relief by playing along side Ilagaskas.

I downloaded it today and I think its great,its alot better than vista,very stable,very fast no crashes so far:D
