1. '93 SS Oily Spark Plug Thread Opinions?   (26 Jun 2009)
I just bought a '93 SS-SL that came from sea level. I pulled the plugs because I wanted to check electrode color (bike has 41mm FCR Keihin flatslides and I am at 7200 MSL). Thought it might be running rich cuz of the alt diff. Threads on plugs were oily. What gives? NOrmal? Valve guides? Electrodes look gray, not rich. Opinions?

2. Think about shaving the dome - advice?   (28 May 2009)
I'm thinking I'll shave my head sometime this March. When depends on the weather forecast come early March, Colorado has had a mild winter so far, but that's no guarantee of what will happen in the future. I guess I don't want to have my first day with a shaved head to be a blizzard. I'm curious about two things: 1) I have a rather oily head (it stains my pillowcases). Should I take any extra actions over this? Just use alum and an A/S splash instead of balm like on my face? 2) I'm a truely pale...

3. Does Oily skin really wrinkle less and age better?   (26 May 2009)
I often hear this, and I really want to know what you guys think about it. A lot of people say that oily skin doesn't get as much wrinkle s later on in life, but I have heard from many others that this is untrue, because wrinkles are associated with lack of collgen as opposed to, not lack of oil. I have heard that oily skin just APPEARS like it has less wrinkles because of its moisture content, so those with dry skin can easily mimic this with a cheap moisturizer to "plump" up lines since that's...

4. Red plastic plug of "Oily leaky death"   (20 Apr 2009)
Does anyone else have a red plastic plug in the bottom of thier oil pan. It looks like the kind of red plug used as a thread protector for threaded holes in machine parts. Since the car sat for 4 years, the plug dried out and is now a leaky S.O.B. I'm thinking about draining the pan completely and sealing it up with some J.B. Weld. Or is there something else that might work better? The hole is about 3/8" and I don't know why it's there.

5. Rear exiting tailpipe, no more oily mess!   (18 May 2009)
I have been thinking about this idea for months but shied away from it because I thought I might loose too much power but I decided I would try it today. Here is my first, quick attempt at a rear tailpipe extension for my down facing exhaust system on my new Mutt Maxx. It starts with some rubber automotive fuel line that I had and ends with 3/8's steel fuel line. Its not bent as perfectly as I would have liked but I whipped it together in 15 minutes to see how it would perform. And it works grea...

6. Still looking for a good soap for oily AND sensible skin...   (06 Jul 2009)
Alright folks: I've used the search function. I've found tons of soaps that might fit my profile. I've asked my doctor and beauticians. Still, I'm not satisfied. For years now I've had trouble with oily, sensible blemish skin. I've found creams i love (Speick comes to mind), even canned foam (yikes! But it's from Avène and rather good) and some soaps that make my skin feel, let's say, not too bad. But usually it's either a zit or a rash problem that comes after a couple of weeks. I'm currently m...

7. Now Foods Essential Oils - Any thoughts?   (16 May 2009)
I bought cinnamon oil the other day and use it for burning. It smells fantastic. So, I'm thinking about getting into fragrance DIY and was thinking about picking up a bunch of different oils from them. Their prices seem really good for all natural oils. Anybody have any further experiences with them?

8. [candidasupport] oily skin   (26 Jun 2009)
On Fri, 26 Jun 2009 14:37:58 -0000, "phyllis431" <pnymama3@aol.com Dear Bee, Hi! I have been chugging along on the program quite nicely and feel pretty good.I just did my 1st water enema this morning-very interesting-I will do the next one in 4 days with the coffee. My question today is about my oily facial skin. As I've told you before through phone and email I have acne-37 years old. I have noticed-I'm on the supllements only 2 weeks today and diet full force about 1 month, 1 week and th...

9. synthetic oils   (11 Jun 2009)
is there any real benifit to using synthetic oils? I was thinking about switching my truck (99 olds bravada with 100k) and the boat (66 merc 50 hp), and possibly the chainsaws too. i did some checking on the internet, and it seems that there really isnt much of an advantage compared to the extra money.

10. Any preference on 4-stroke oils?   (17 Jun 2009)
I just got my first bike in about ten years ( 2006 wr 450 with only 160 miles, whoohoo) and I was wondering if anybody has any strong preferences for the brand of oils they use. I was thinking Maxima or maybe just sticking to Yamalube. All opinions apppreciated!
