Please, before you complain more, stop and think about what you're saying...
(26 Jun 2009)
I keep seeing the same asinine complaints over and over again. Let's stop and think about them for a minute:
Complaint 1: The developers are releasing content without any regard for what the players think.
Reality: Developers exist to satisfy the players. While they may get some things wrong, everything they change is because they feel it will enhance the gameplay. They are not changing things because they want to piss you off. They are changing things because they think it will make you enjoy t...

New York City Founded on OTHER Bank of Hudson River
(27 May 2009)
The premise is simple: the founders of New Amsterdam, later NYC, decide to buy a peninsula sticking out into the water on the west side of the Hudson (that is, they buy OTL Bayonne and Jersey City) rather than Manhattan itself, reasoning that colonies can be developed better with easily accessible roads both north AND west. (There are ideas afoot of turning the Meadowlands of NJ, a swamp and an enormous barrier to the west, into a bunch of polders a la the Netherlands, and/or canal building, and...

Next time someone tells you this nation was founded
(08 Jun 2009)
on Christian values....Quote: Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli
Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption...

What do Protestants think about the recent analysis on the remains of Saint...
(01 Jul 2009)
Article
Just wondering what some Protestants think about this recent discovery. Do you think about why and how his tomb is under a Catholic Church? Where is the disconnect among Protestants when it comes to believing the Catholic Church is the one, true Church founded by Jesus Christ? Saint Paul was Catholic at the time of his death. That is why the Catholic Church has constantly possessed his tomb. Same with Saint Peter and others.

things to think about
(12 May 2009)
Should you contribute 1/2 of your waking life to make a living for a measly 2 weeks of vacation each year? (and that vacation is a privilege given by the company, not a right by your government. Yes, the United States is one of the only free goverments that does not require employers to give vacation time to its employees)
Should you work a salaried position where you may work 80 hours in one week and receive no extra pay, but only work 20 hours the next week to have your pay docked?
Should you...

thinking about a new carry .45 thinking about Kahr, need opinions
(03 May 2009)
I recently handled a kahr .45 and really liked it, but I had a few issues. first I found the trigger gaurds shape to be a little uncomfortable(i can live with it though) and second I am nervous about it not having any external safty. those of you with a kahr do you carry with one in the chamber. Also I have never fired one, so what does every one think of how they shoot?
I am in the market cause Although I love my xd 45acp it is just too bulky and heavy for conceled carry for me. So far the Kahr...

Sotomayor Dissenting Opinions = Lunatic Fringe!!!
(01 Jun 2009)
Go figure, the New Hispanic woman and the Militant Jew are two sides of the same coin
You see
, the New Hispanic woman is burning with rage, angrily decrying her roots (slovenness / unambitiousness); the Militant Jews are fiercely self-important and driven (Nazi-likethis where Nazi Thugs often stopped Jews on the street and forced them to clean statues, ect.); so you put them together with the frenzied, self-flagellation practicing, New American Nazi Hierarchy
"After the seizures in la...

Pro-gov't intervention opinions needed, RE: Bondholders
(12 Jun 2009)
I need to understand something and I need someone who supports the government intervention in the Chrysler bondholders situation to explain it to me.
In normal Bankruptcy, the bondholders who purchased the secured debt of a company are the first to get their investment back. That's what "secured debt" means. If there aren't enough funds on-hand, assets are liquidated to cover the debt owed. Only if there aren't enough assets to cover the debt do the bondholders get short return on their investme...

Bit down - thinking about pulling out of the sale - opinions would be valued...
(01 Jul 2009)
Hello everyone
Well as you will know if you read my other thread, I thought I had found the perfect (or near anyway!) horse. However, I have now learnt a few more things about him - and would value your advice about whether to go ahead (luckily no money has changed hands yet).
1. He is a bit bargy both in and out of the stable - as in he will push you with his head. He is fine to lead though. Is this easy to cure? He has been a bit spoilt I think and even his owner admits that - she lets him gra...

New to the Blog world, opinions?
(21 Jun 2009)
New to the Blog world, opinions? I've started a blog aimed at helping me get a handle on web-based marketing - the bog itself is about the college scene, a cult-blog I've founded, and raising money to pay to tuition.
Collegiate Messiah
The theme is a basic blogger theme, I'm open to any suggestions - especially any font change ideas.
(although I've been having some problems with blogger forcing me to go through html rather than wysiwyg.)
I've already picked up a lot of tips just browsing these t...
