1. Thinking about a triumph street triple, need opinions   (02 May 2009)
I'm thinking of getting a second bike, my needs are as follows: -great looking bike -around 12-15k -decent gas mileage / 4.5 gallon tank minimum -more used for commuting/hooligan bike-ish / standard layout bike -looking for comfort but with good handling / agility -hopefully pretty light, from 360-410ish lbs I went and checked out the hypermotard, the streetfighter, the tuono, the dorsuduro, the benelis, the z1000, and finally, the triumphs. I'm torn between a speed triple, and a street triple R...

2. What does everyone think about a $4500 gas guzzler rebate   (19 Jun 2009)
Anyone actually going to trade any old cars? The way I read the bill if your car gets less than 18 MPG and you purchase a car or truck that gets more than 22 MPG (which is not much improvement) you get $3500. If you buy a car that gets 10 MPG better than your trade you get $4500.00 Paid by the Government to the dealer. Dealer is in turn responsible for disposing the vehicles.

3. Thinking about selling the coupe - Need some advice   (21 Jun 2009)
My wife and I are having a house being built that should be completed in late Aug. She drives an '05 pathfinder and I DD the coupe. I'd really like to have a pickup truck, but not sure which way to go. I recently created the following post on SVT forums: Quote: : So here's the deal. My wife and I just bought a house, and I'm considering a "more practical" vehicle. My wife drives an '05 Pathfinder, and I have an '01 BMW M-coupe. I'd really like a truck to make the runs to Lowe's, Home Depot, etc....

4. Thinking about a Gixxer   (29 May 2009)
Whether I need help deciding between a 600 or a 750, or I need help of the psychological variety, I'm not sure yet. That's why I'm posting. Lately, I've become more and more interested in getting a street bike. I've posted on a few forums, and a lot of people have given me a lot of opinions. I've gotten everything from a Honda Nighthawk 750 to a Hayabusa. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I'm somewhat in between as a rider. I've been riding dirt bikes for about 4 years, and I've ridd...

5. thinking about selling my G5200H   (18 Jun 2009)
it's been a sad decision to make, but I'm leaning towards parting with my G5200H ... I am in desperate need of a loader, and while I know that the G5200H is more than capable of handling the stress of a loader, I've been frustrated at every turn when I've been looking for ways to mount one and hook up a hydraulic pump to it I have a lead on another brand that has loaders available for it, but it has a *shudder* gas engine in it ... I even bought a used Swisher dump bucket thinking I would just b...

6. Now that I think about it...   (14 May 2009)
The world really is stupid. Starting with our country... we're trillions of dollars in debt so we're fighting a war where we waste money for new weapons and the gas just to transport people. We can't really afford anything like that right now. And why are we in the war with Iraq and all those countries anyway? It's either because they bombed us, or oil or something stupid like that. I know a lot of people passed away in 9/11, but we're killing more people by sending them over there to fight for...

7. Opinions and help on ? re; gas fireplaces   (16 Jun 2009)
Ok the wife is thinking she would like a gas fireplace in our 12 x 21 ft LR. I am not really crazy about the idea but here goes... 1) Are the vent free NG Fireplaces any good ?? 2) If I go vented can the vent be ran nto my exsisting unused masonary chimney, the vent would have to 90 into it but is there a way to drill thru the block and flue liner ? 3) Will a gas FP make the room too hot if used ? 4) do most people that put them in use them for awhile then they mostly go unused ?? 5) expensive t...

8. Shell's New Nitrogen Enhanced Gas - Opinions   (17 May 2009)
Ok Guys, heres the thing: As most of you know, I recently bought a new RX-350. This was my first fillup. When I was using the pre filled tank from the dealer, My Rx meter read average mileage as 13.6 L/100km. It ran about 500km on a full tank. Yesterday I filled up my tank with Shell's Premium Nitrogen Enhanced gas ($1.073/L where as regular was $0.948/L). I have driven just over 100km since then and my car meter reads Average After Refuelling: 9.8L/100km. I'm not sure if it was just a coinciden...

10. Not super committed but thinking about running a cycle   (30 Jun 2009)
Here is my story I’ve been lifting 3 to 5 days a week for over a decade. I’m really like to stay fit and active and never miss workouts. However, my diet isn’t tailored towards getting big. I eat 6 small meals a day and always get protein in them but they are minimal calories (about 2000 a day). As such, I have stayed pretty much between 155 and 160 lbs (5’9”) for the last 10 years. Before that, during the first two years of lifting I was extremely committed and gained about 15 lbs. of lean musc...
