1. Is G5 as fast as Core Duo?   (17 May 2009)
Well, as I reported in another post , I went to the Apple store to see how much it would cost to repair my Macbook Pro and they told me that it would cost almost $700. Since I don't have that money I decided to sell it instead and sold it for $430. Aside from the video card issue the Macbook Pro was fast for me. Since I sold it I decided to look for something else instead. I sold my iPod touch and so now my budget is almost $600. On eBay they have Powermac G5 (dual 2.0GHz) with 2GB of RAM. My Ma...

2. My Poor Verada...   (02 Jul 2009)
Ok... second try now. Don't flake out on me now, forum software... Woohoo, worked this time. In March 2009 I bought a 1991 Mitsubishi Verada, Wine Red with a V6 12-valve engine and 4-speed + Overdrive automatic gearbox. I have a SQL2K project (imported from SQL2K database server) whose schema folder contains more than 35000 files (SP+Udf+Constraints+Idx+Key+Triggers+Tables+Views). Yes, it is a large C/S database application but not that large (I assume that it might exists some projec...

4. Mu-lab or Muzys?   (08 Jun 2009)
Hi I'm only a novice at music production but have been dabbling for a few years. I started with Rolands XP60. When I got my first PC around 4 years ago now, I had a go at the 'free-with-CM-mag' Muzys 1.5. I managed to get hold of Muzys 3.14 and have only used it for loop based production. However, I have since got rid of all hardware except my Nova and EMX1. I wish to learn to use my laptop with either Mu-lab or Muzys using VSTI's and loops. First I'd like to know if my laptop is sufficiently po...
