What ambient lights for new studio?:

I am busy building a new studio and have to decide on what ambient lights to install. The lights just have to be bright enough to work in (and for AF to work) but not too bright to contribute to the exposure.
I was thinking about 5200K fluorescent tubes. They are energy efficient yet the color temp is close enough to my strobe lights not to be a problem if they do show up slightly in the shadows.
Any thoughts?

So I went to the dealership today...

and they went through a paperback with me for all of the options for the SS and I told him everything I wanted from it. I don't remember it ALL, but here's most of it:

First let me say that I wanted the SS Camaro all along, but due to recent poor decisions in my opinion I think I'll be getting the V6...
1. No blue in SS? Why not?!? Seeing as that it also makes a blue interior ambient lighting unavailable, only the V6 has the Aqua Blue Metallic and the blue ambient lighting.
2. Why did they change the front end from the concept on the SS so much? In my opinion, while the SS looks more aggressive, the V6 looks more aerodynamic and, from a design perspective, muc...

I have received a comment on the following image that it would have "popped" more if I hadn't lowered the contrast level of Dynamic B/W to minus 2 in my LX3.
I set it that way because Beegie is a ginger colored cat and without the minus compensation she would have looked like a cat with darker fur. I also would have lost fur detail.

I have just risen to a challenge..it was felt that with my experience I should be aware that S3's produce sharper files than S5's and the S5 "is the softest" version yet of the Fuji series...

compare MPx220 to the MPx200 : my opinion

I decided to "upgrade" to the 220 for the faster processor, more flash storage space, Bluetooth, better voice dial capabilities, quad band, and a camera (not expecting much here). So, the 220 has arrived and there have been a few surprises.
