Did You Know?

Did You Know?
The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be. Here are some facts about the1500s.
Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor; hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married.
Baths consisted of a b...

When did you know you were ready to TTC??
(13 Oct 2008)
My first pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage (with resulting D&E) at 11 weeks. I was ready to TTC immediately afterwards but we waited three cycles. My next two pregnancies ended with two healthy children.
A week ago I delivered my son at 18 weeks, 5 days gestation. I can't even fathom TTC again right now. The thought of getting on that rollercoaster and then dealing with a pregnancy is overwhelming. I know it will be a while before I can even think about it. However, we know we want a third...

When did you know?
(20 Nov 2008)
I'm getting overwhelmed here. I guess it is a good thing but 10-12 hour days 6 and 7 days a week are taking their toll. I know time management is a developed art but with it just being me in the studio, multi-tasking is a drag. Seems about the time I get something started, in walks somebody to check out my work or talk about who-knows-what. I've heard every possible hunting adventure at least a dozen times.
When do you know it's time to hire some help???
My work load is steadily increasing as ar...

Did you know that there is a 3rd side to the 123Bingo saga?
(05 Sep 2008)
I wasnt going to post here again and told Sissy to go ahead and delete me. I guess that didnt happen, so see Luvmedo, it isnt just 123Bingo where you ask to get deleted and dont get deleted. And btw, Luvmedo, that letter from Andrew you posted today in which you suggested that it was sent as a personal letter just to you? Well, I got it too, twice in fact, and I was to have been deleted too! Funny thing is, Ive asked to be deleted at many websites, casinos, and bingo halls, but I still keep...

How did you know you were ready for the TKR?
(18 Sep 2008)
Hey folks!
Quick history, I am 31 years old and a veteran of 3 failed ACLs (Two due to infection, Serratia Marcesans in 1998 and plain old staph in 2007), numerous bone grafts and associated surgeries totaling 11 over the last 15 years. Initial injury was due to a skiing accident my Jr. year of high school at a weight of 210 pounds. I peaked at 345lbs in 2000 and since 2005 I have been keeping off 190 pounds with good healthy eating and exercise. No doubt the miles and miles I walked to take...

How did you know?
(08 Sep 2008)
Hey guys, I am in the middle of rush right now. I have already been to ice water teas, philanthropy, and skit night and I am going to prefs later this week. I am TORN between 3 different sororities. I am of course unsure which ones I will be invited back to on pref (I can attend up to 3), and my opinions may very well change after that night. I am sure this happened to many of you when you went through recruitment, so I was wondering how did you know which one to rank first? I feel like I could...

Did you know? - Bulbapedia has a Tier List
(21 Oct 2008)
Did you know? - Bulbapedia has a Tier List Please bear with me. The Bulbapedia Tier List is terribly in need of editing. I've already listed a multitude of changes and why on the Discussion Page so I'm not going to list them again, the reason I'm writing this is to get someone's attention. Because something needs to be done.
What's the point of having the article if no-one cares about it or updates it? I think it's great to have a Tier List but it's basically useless if it's so askew, and the fa...

Problem with a school teacher... opinions needed
(06 Nov 2008)
I will try to NOT make this a novel....
My son stays after school for tutoring 2 days a week until 4:30 for TAKS reading preparation. Yesterday, I went to pick him up, but had arrived at 4:36 due to a situation that held me up at the office. (elderly woman we insure killed in auto accident, I was discussing coverage with grieving daughter and the time got away from me)
I pull up to the side of the building where the after school tutoring kids are to be picked up, and waited for about 5 minutes f...
