Thinking about upgrading from XP Pro to Vista Ultimate x64

Is this possible with my specs? As far as my research has shown, I
should be fine. The only problem is that I can't seem to find an upgrade
directly from Xp Pro to Vista Ultimate x64. Am i just going to have to
fork out the dough for the retail original install version?
I plan to turn this system into a media center with an extender down in
my living room.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thinking About Overclocking the Video Card yeah, it's not like i don't get good performance out of my video card, but i figure i could probably get more stability in a lot of the games i play, mainly hellgate london is the only one that'll lag at all really, it's not internet lag either, seems to happen when a ton of characters are on the screen at once.

Thinking about a new laptop

Well, my windows install on my MBP is getting thoroughly cramped, so i've been thinking about removing it and getting a new laptop, and just using my MBP for the purpose for which i bought it: Maya

Think about video card upgrade I'm thinking about upgrading my video card (nVidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430). Would upgrading to a nVidia 7600GS be a smart move with this set-up?

I have had a Gateway Tablet that just broke and was never able to fix. But I am about to go back to college so I need yet another tablet. Who here is thinking about Windows 7?

I just wandered into a Windows 7 site and I can't see how it is radically different from Vista. Also it seems that there is going to be 20+ version of this new Windows OS. In fact I'm honestly thinking of going back to XP instead of moving up to Win7. One other thing it appears is that MS is going back to versions being named by version number like the old Win 3.11.
