How to Think About Science
If science is neither cookery, nor angelic virtuosity, then what is it?
Modern societies have tended to take science for granted as a way of knowing, ordering and controlling the world.
Everything was subject to science, but science itself largely escaped scrutiny. This situation has changed dramatically in recent years.
Historians, sociologists, philosophers and sometimes scienti...

After 3 Years in the Game I just realized something: I HATE THE GAME ! ! ...
(30 Nov 2008)
Oh shit.
I need help.
I was just walking home from the club and I just had an epiphany that hit me like a load of bricks.
After 3 years in the game, and going out clubbing for the last 90 / 90 days, I just realized something.
WARNING: Negativity coming.
I fucking hate this shit!
I hate nightclub music. I hate nightclub noise. I hate dancing. I hate superficial socializing. I hate the taste of alcohol. I hate bar room banter. I hate the bullshit conversations that compose chatting I hate s...

10,000 posts, 3+ years.
(24 Oct 2008)
When I joined on August 21st, 2005, I didn't think I'd be posting on this forum 3 years later and I definitely never imagined I'd making my 10,000th post 3 years after joining. Back then I was 13, innocent, in my first year of High School (Canada!), so young. It feels really weird to look back on it now and think of me posting as a thirteen year old. I still get nostalgia from reading through my old 2005 posts.
And now? Who am I now? I'll let you in on my life a little. My name is Bobby Barone,...

Whats Your Fitness Routine & Tattoo's! Whats Your Diet33
(07 Nov 2008)
Well basically I love fitness, i might not do as much as i really want to but still..
I was just wondering about everybodys fitness routines, what they do and when and what they eat to try and stay fitt. Or if you dont why dont you? I personally have it in my head that, well why wouldent you want to be fit and look good, but thats just my opinion.
I personally do 4 miles jogging most days apart from the weekends where i play football on the saturday in trainning and then a leauge game on the sun...

College Degrees...
(21 Oct 2008)
This is long, but bear with me because there is something I want your opinions on. Since an extremely qualified school board candidate is being drawn and quartered here, and several posters harped on education levels for the different Sheriff candidates in the primary, I am going to go out on a limb and ask...what, precisely, does a degree of any sort mean, in respect to our local races?
Case in point: let us examine the Sheriff's race and play "what-if" for an election in say, eight years. This...

The Humanity Destiny
(15 Dec 2008)
Who am I? Even more important : Who are you? Where do you come from and where the hell are you going? What is, today, your meaning in this Universe? Did we really poped out of nowhere, from complete inert, aphatetic Material? Oh, that is what you really believe...? We have been told that we were God Creations, but they didn't specify nor what was this God about, nor what is our goal on this full-of-Suffering Earth!
Do you sincerly believe that by reading and integrating this meditation, you coul...

things every man should know how to do
(25 Nov 2008)
This is a list of things all men (by men I mean both men and women) know how to do. I know a great and famous man once made a similar list during the middle ages, but time has rendered his list useless. It is not necessary to master everything on this list, but to be a "jack of all trades" if you will.
1: Be able to read, speak, and write English (United States, United Kingdom, England). This is a important skill as English is the default language of the world now and nearly everyone knows atlea...

Tired...
(22 Dec 2008)
I am tried of hearing how PvMP is a side game... PvMP is some of the busiest areas on the forums and not to mention on a middle of the road server (nimrodel) we can have around 60 players on at a time playing for 2-6 hours. hmmm if we break that down to 12 hours, that we have around 12-60 unique players in a 12 hour period...
pick middle of road 20 (10 per side every hour for 12 hours that 240 unique players), say a margin of error of 20% that's around 200 unique players in a day. Most players p...

First you claimed I ignored the story.
And then you said I never heard about it.
How am I supposed to know if something you said is true if I didn't
read the story?
And how am I supposed to know which story you're referring to unless
you post a link?
