I resisted temptation, yesterday, and did not comment on this article, reproduced under the Fair Dealing provisions (§29) of the Copyright Act from yesterday’s Globe and Mail:

Your thoughts and opinions
(05 Nov 2008)
Pinch Me ...a message from Michael Moore
Friends,
Who among us is not at a loss for words? Tears pour out. Tears of joy. Tears of relief. A stunning, whopping landslide of hope in a time of deep despair.
In a nation that was founded on genocide and then built on the backs of slaves, it was an unexpected moment, shocking in its simplicity: Barack Obama, a good man, a black man, said he would bring change to Washington, and the majority of the country liked that idea. The racists were present thro...

OK guys.. opinions please. warning- political in nature
(09 Oct 2008)
OK, I got an email from my sister this morning, that was sent to her from her friend.
It was an email condemning Obama for his "friendship" with Ayers. Here is a link if you want to see it. http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/16240/
So I replied to both of them with this:
If you guys would like to read an UNBIASED history on Bill Ayers, follow this link. It is a completely non-partisan website (wiki) that will give the full account of his life.
The media and right wing ext...

Dirty Obama Politics...
(15 Sep 2008)
It looks like his version of change is mostly about himself. He's looking to extend the troop drawdown to benefit himself politically. That's going to hurt amongst the anti-war faithful!
Nice job, Barry! You can think about that while finishing your term in the Senate...

Anti-war camp urges Obama to dump Gates
AP-Arms control advocates and anti-war activists are ratcheting up pressure on President-elect Barack Obama to dump Defense Secretary Robert Gates and replace him with a more strident anti-war voice.
Nominating Gates to stay, would be a violation of the mandate for change that Obama says he represents, said Medea Benjamin, cofounder of the anti-war group CodePink.
A better bipartisan fit for Obama, th...

Apparently Pham Binh is trying to show us what an opportunist is by posting an article full of half truths and some complete lies.
Pham,
First of all is was proven that Congressman Paul did not publish any racist remarks. They were published by someone else but he took moral responsibility for them, that's a pretty stand up thing to do in my opinion.
Second, knocking Paul for voting against certain legislation and not pointing out why he voted against it shows a lack of character a...

*This is how Brits views our current campaign. Maybe being out
of the mainstream media, their view may be more valid than our
own. The current approval rating of Congress is only 9 Percent.
If we could find a way to bring in ALL 'rookies', I can't
imagine that they would have a rating worse than th...

Afghanistan Anyone?
(14 Oct 2008)
I realise that there are many people out there who are very anti-war or just against any soldiers being sent to places they've only heard of in the news.
I am about to be sent to Afghanistan for 6 months and would like to know what people in civilian life or even in the forces themselves know and think about it.
What do you understand about why troops are sent there? What do you think the troops are doing there? Etc...etc....
So, post a reply; let me know.
Thanks, Greenie

Blame the Military?
(12 Oct 2008)
Last week on my campus the Royal Navy's University Unit was attacked by anarchist clowns in an anti-war protest. They had a stall up for all the freshers to come to, and people dressed as clowns came and sprayed paint and glitter over it. They also handed out leaflets which said this:
Quote: : “If you believe we are imposing our views on you and prevent people from having a ‘free’ career choice, think about our brothers and sisters all over the world who have in recent years had a totally undemo...
