Resident Evil 5 preview and demo announcement soon
(13 Nov 2008)
Quote: : The first thing to note is that a new alternate 'Action' control system has been introduced alongside the traditional one we all know and love/hate. Prompted by producer Jun Takeuchi's affection for first-person shooters, it remaps the aim and fire controls to the left and right triggers. "Obviously the Resident Evil series is really popular in the west, so we wanted to put in a system that western users might find a little easier to control," he tells us.
If you've spent any time with...

Important announcement about Homebrew Channel next release.
Homebrew Channel, aka your last chance
(Just found this over at Hackmii)
As you all know, we're getting busy with several other projects, and HBC isn't a priority. However, the beta9 release had a few rough edges, and some things that should have been fixed weren't.
So we?re giving you the chance to voice your pet peeves about HBC now, and we'll release a new version soon. Consider this version "final" at least for the time being. HBC i...

[patch 0/3] [Announcement] Performance Counters for Linux -
(05 Dec 2008)
Performance counters are special hardware registers available on most modern
CPUs. These register count the number of certain types of hw events: such
as instructions executed, cachemisses suffered, or branches mis-predicted,
without slowing down the kernel or applications. These registers can also
trigger interrupts when a threshold number of events have passed - and can
thus be used to profile the code that runs on that CPU.
We'd like to announce a brand new implementation of performance count...

ANNOUNCEMENT - 10/12/08
(12 Oct 2008)
Hi everybody, just giving you a heads up that the forum is in the process of being upgraded (from phpBB2 to this new phpBB3). Also, IT IS NOT FINISHED YET! I put the forward on so we can use it now and not lose any posts. Things to expect.
1) New custom header! It'll have the logo in it and an image (red euro SVT focus if that's alright with Scott) - the background on the top header will most likely be black (to darken up the feel a little bit...it's a wee big light at the moment, IMO anyways)....

Important announcement regarding my involvement with ZDoom
(13 Dec 2008)
Yesterday something happened that came as no real surprise but nevertheless found an incredible disappointment and made me seriously reconsider my involvement in ZDoom's development.
Randy closed 2 threads in feature request without even the barest acknowledgement of what was going on:
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=19551
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=20122
Personally I think this is inexcusable. The GPL thread didn't get anything. It was closed without comment. The other one had a discussion about a DECORATE repl...

*Logo Designed by greendots*
Well, I've spoken alot about how important online is for the Pandora, and now I'm going to put my money where my mouth is.
I'm announcing my plans to write a network library to take the complexity out of integrating online functionality into homebrew games, emulators, and applications: The Pandora Online Network Library, and its server Daemon, POND. I aim to have this library in preliminary form for development by the end...

Here you go, have at it.

Over the last few months Ive spoken about our continued focus on improving our open RvR systems. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
(31 Oct 2008)
The " game " means very little to me anymore. There are losers in this game bu,t they are not who you might initially think of when considering who obviously, has lost and who appears to be winning.
The losers are the guys who did not own their own sh*t and in an effort to save themselves dragged others into the fire with them.
I saw winners go down in ORD. good guys who I admire for their courage and integrity.
As much as I support Law Enforcement generally, I feel they should have to work hard...
