Should I give up Verizon's service for an iPhone?
(23 Nov 2008)
I am tired of the craptastic phones Verizon offers. My last two have been pure shit, and everyone I know with Verizon has only been getting about a year out of their phones. I got more than 2 years with this phone, but it is on its last leg, and I need a new phone very soon.
I went yesterday morning to Verizon to try out the new Blackberry Storm, and was slapped down with a heavy dose of disappointment. One phone was very unresponsive, and glitchy, the other was just painfully slow. I can't deal...

Storm vs iphone
(09 Dec 2008)
I just discovered that i have like 300 bucks in a business spending account that i HAVE to spend by the end of the year. So i am debating between these 2 phones.
I currently have AT&T and a Palm Treo. I could upgrade to an iphone for 200 bucks with a two year. That is an option i am pretty much an apple hater only because most apple people are fckn dorks but functionally it is one of the best phones available. So it is an option.
My other option is to switch to Verizon and get a BB Storm, but i...

New cell, not iPhone, AT&T's selection sucks...
(14 Dec 2008)
I need a new phone, I have one of those Sony Ericsson W580i's, which btw is a pos phone. I mean there is some good, but the fugly huge proprietary jack and the stupid proprietary headphones & memory card make me want to kill Sony. What else is new. Its at the end of its lifespan.
So I'm on AT&T, until Verizon gets an Android phone, I'm not even thinking of switching. I don't mind signing the 2-yr to get a good price. Might be my last contract renewal but whatever.
I don't want a fucking iPh...

Phone questions
(14 Dec 2008)
Ok, its that time yet again. It is time for a new phone!
Some of you might remember me asking about a phone less then 2 years ago and displaying my interest in the Moto Kzr. I liked the sleek looking phone, it was very light and looked very cool in the white/mirror finish.
The bad was that it lags like a turbo off a Duramax and put on a Geo Metro's 3cyl. I hate it I hate it I hate it so much.
Now, I have a 150 dollar credit with Verizon towards my next phone, so I instantly looked at the Storm....

AT&T/ iPhone/ 3G service problems
(14 Nov 2008)
Howdy:
After enduring really rotten cell phone service under a 2-year Cingular/AT&T contract, we switched to Verizon, based on friends' & family members' experience. We are now at the end of that contract. Verizon wireless service, while far from perfect, has been pretty good and, left to my own predilections, I would not switch. However, domestic relations & marital bliss have rudely intruded on the subject.
My dear wife & her adult son were smitten by the new iPhone 3G. Blinded & besotted by t...

An iPhone With Satellite Radio - Gasp! Really?
(26 Nov 2008)
For as long as I have been involved in satellite radio, there have always been the rumors of a relationship with Apple (AAPL). The iPod has redefined how people listen to music, and for satellite radio fans, a partnership seemed natural. However, Apple has never been a singer of the same tune, and to this day, integration of satellite radio and Apple has been a pipe dream.
StarPlayer may change the rules, and this could be welcome news for satellite radio. Let millions of iPhones sell. They are...

iPhone killing AT&T
(27 Oct 2008)
My random business rant: (Warning: opinions follow)
There was a thread a long long time ago about how stupid Verizon was to pass on the iPhone. If you recall, Apple contacted Verizon first but Verizon demanded to have their logo also on the phone and decided to pass if this ultimatum wasn't met. Well now this article confirms that the iPhone is single handidly ruining AT&T ... so HAH !

Boy Genius Reviews the Blackberry Storm. (A must read for those interested...
(20 Nov 2008)
The BlackBerry Storm. It feels like ages ago since we first broke news of this bad boy, but the release is finally right around the corner. Literally, its tomorrow! Need we say more? Heck yeah! Weve got a pretty substantial review on the device and weve even taken the time to compare the Vodafone units to the Verizon units since weve got both in our office. First impressions? No way, youre going to have to hit the jump for that. Just make sure youve got a couple Ritalins in your system w...
