Sean Hannity: Media Matters' 2008 Misinformer of the Year
As Media Matters for America has demonstrated time and again, Fox News' Sean Hannity has been a prolific and influential purveyor of conservative misinformation. But never has he so enthusiastically applied his talents for spreading misinformation as he did to the 2008 presidential race, focusing his energies primarily on President-elect Barack Obama. Day after day, Hannity devoted his two Fox News shows and his three-hour ABC Radio Netwo...

Read these two stories back to back. It appears to me that before city governments spend millions more preparing for a Mumbai-style attack, they could just relax their concealed carry laws and permit legally certificated citizens to carry darn-near anywhere. I believe this would be a very simple, effective and cheap strategy to help prevent something like this from happening in the US. (It's worth noting that it's almost impossible for an ordinary citizen to obtain a gun in India!) It's also the...

Noam Chomsky and His Critics
(16 Nov 2008)

MarxMail, August 15, 2002
In the aftermath of September 11th, certain sectors of the US left buckled under ruling class pressure and turned against Noam Chomsky. His uncompromising anti-imperialism might have been acceptable during the 1980s when the Sandinistas were under Washington's gun, but in today's repressive atmosphere no quarter is given to the dissident intellectual. Of course, no quarter is asked from Chomsky, who remains fearless and principled as ever.
To the chagrin o...

Letter from 2012 in Obamas America

Letter from 2012 in Obamas America
What will the United States be like if Senator Obama is elected? The most reliable way
of predicting peoples future actions is by looking at their past actions. Jesus himself
taught, You will recognize them by their fruits (Matthew 7:16). Anyone who has hired
employees knows that the best predictor of a persons future job performance is not
what he tells you he can do but what he has actually done in the past.
So here is a picture of the changes that are...

I haven't seen this anywhere on this board, just wondered if anyone else had seen it. My son sent this to me (he's in Iraq for the 3rd time!)...it's written by Dr. Dobson as a Christian in the year 2012 and what "could" be our situation by that time....pretty scary! Like Chris said, it's a pretty long read...but it's worth it! Some of it's a little hard to follow...
Hey I found this thing that Dr. James Dobson wrote. It's a letter of a christian in 2012 and whats happend with our country after O...

Dear friends,
I can hardly sing The Star Spangled Banner any more. When I hear the words,
O say, does that star spangled banner yet wave
Oer the land of the free and the home of the brave?
I get tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. Now in October of 2012, after seeing what
has happened in the last four years, I dont think I can still answer, Yes, to that question. We
are not the land of the free and the home of the brave. Many of our freedoms have been taken
away by...

WASHINGTON, DC
Frustrations inside John McCain's camp boiled over on the eve of
Wednesday night's presidential debate as the candidate's brother
unleashed an e-mail blasting the campaign's "counter-productive"
strategy.
"Let John McCain be John McCain," wrote Joe McCain in a missive sent
out shortly before midnight...

A Global farce?
A number of researchers say that despite public opinion, global warming may be a result of natural causes
by Hannah Hoffman |
If the Greenland icecap melts, the Sahara expands and the Siberian permafrost disappears, don't blame carbon-emitting SUVs or billowing smokestacks, says a group of scientists who claim their research on global warming has been repressed. The explanation, they argue, might be simpler: M...
