Thinking about a backup camera for the Coupe

One of the auto parts stores (it is Advance Auto Parts) has wireless backup camera system on sale for $70 plus a $10 mfg discount coupon so net cost would be $60 + tax (unless you live in Delaware or some other tax free state). Hi!
I'm experiencing long backup times on one of my backup jobs. I'm using Backup Exec 12 and for this (and other) jobs I'm doing Backup2Disk.
What I'm experiencing is that one of my jobs takes much longer than the others. Up to 2-3 hours longer. After thinking about it I have a suspicion that it's because this particular job is doing backup of many more (smaller) files than the other jobs. So I just wanna hear what you guys think about this.

Making a Backup of System Drive

Hi,
I've read the few posts about making a backup of a Jetico BestCrypt Volume Encrypted disk, but maybe I'm being thick as I am still confused.
I would like to buy Jetico BestCrypt Volume Encryption to encrypt my system drive. I also want to be able to make backup copies of that drive. All the backup software I have seen, run IN windows. Surely this means they have access to the drive and backup the data in it's unencrypted form.

My current web hosting service does a nightly backup and keeps 1 weeks worth of them. They also do a weekly backup that they keep a month's worth of plus a monthly backup that they keep 12 copies of for each month.
I had the idea that most web hosts do something similar or at least do backups. I do my own backups at least once a week and if I do major changes to my website much more often.

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a time capsule but would like to know if what i want to achieve will work before buying it.
I dont want to use the TC for time machine backups....
I want to be able to store all my media files including photo's, movies, mp3's etc on the time capsule and stream them to my macbook when i need to.
I also want to be able to attach a USB hard drive to the TC to create a mirror of the TC's drive so that i have a backup should the TC's HD break..

Large backups to external media

I need to backup 500GB of data from a server onto an external media. Right now I am using 700GB USB drives, these are 3.5" full size drives. I calculated that it takes ~20GB per hour. So now the backup takes 25+ hours to finish and that is not even including the verification. The server has a RAID 5 w/ 5 drives and one spare.
Is there a faster way to get the data of the server an onto something external so that it can be taken off site?
I know I can do incrementals which will cut the daily backu...

Why aren't there any contact backup/restore applications available in the App Store?
I was desperately searching a way to move my contacts out of MobileMe and tried different approaches, but a standalone backup/restore app would have saved me hours:
