Sideflips vs. double legs....opinion and help?
(29 Oct 2008)
So, I'm trying to learn both of these moves, however, they seem to be extremely similar...For me, it feels more natural to do a double leg leading with my right leg, and a side flip leading with my left. A side-flip seems like a wall spin, which I lead with my left...How do you differentiate the two?
I think my double leg is fine, but I think my side flip turns into more of a running forward-backflip. I rotate, and end up facing the way I came from. How can I fix this? I'm having a hard time not...

My opinion on the game after playing it through
(15 Nov 2008)
I have ridden snowboard for over 15 years and was really looking forward to this game, especially after playing Assassin's Creed which showed Ubisofts worth to me.
I got the game the morning it was released (2 days ago), and have now played it through, except some trophys (online trophys mostly).
My honest opininon is that this is a disappoitment. I thought Ubi meant authentic SNOWBOARDING, not the world, in all the previews. Unfortunately I gotta agree with many here and say this is just anothe...

How i got over the fear....
(27 Sep 2008)
3 basic things (in my case)
1, watching lots of tutorials.. getting "fired" up
2, doing lots of backflips on the tramp to get used to the motion
3, doing it on ground
it took me a few weeks to do it on ground, i first watched countless tutorials.. then i just did them on the tramp and got used to the motion... then one day, in the grass i jumped up as high as i could, tucked in, and automatically landed.
my best tip is, before you do it, make sure you KNOW what your doing, and before doing it, B...

In AUD, the Koxx-one Alien Backflip unicycle is $1,035.00. Is this
unicycle worth the money. Who has one and what do you think of it? Are
the K1 cranks good for flatland?

The Establishment and the Controversial Wrestling Federation Proudly Presents....
Throw your dollar bills and leave your thrills all here with me
And speak but don't pretend I won't defend you anymore you see
It aches in every bone, I'll die alone, but not for you
My eyes don't need to see that ugly thing, I know it's me you fear
If you want me hold me back
Frail, the skin is dry and pale, the pain will never fail
And so we go back to the remedy
Clip the wings that get you high, just leave them...

QPro aerodynamics and centre of mass
(31 Oct 2008)
I have been thinking about the various viewpoints regarding weight and pitch tricks, and about the effect of moving the centre of mass relative to the centre of pressure of a kite in more general terms. Questions like - if you add weight above the centre T, the kite should sit deeper in a turtle and in a fade, so why does everyone seem to add weight right on the tip of the tail?
I was intrigued enough to make some basic measurements of a standard QPro to see if my intuition was correct.

The Final War [10.22.08]
(23 Oct 2008)
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Venue: Daskalakis Athletic Center
Attendance: Roughly 2,300
Date: October 22, 2008
Rather than the normal introductory video, we get a cold open, going straight to ringside. Scott the Scoop is wearing his usual suit and tie, and Rick Avalio is also dressed for the occasion, looking uncharacteristically staid. Scoot stares at the camera with a look of disappointment and perhaps somberness as he begins.
Scott the Scoop:
Ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you to th...
