Well The Dark Knight was brilliant and apparently Nolan is working on a script under the name of 'gotham' at the moment and bale is still signed up for the next one and a few rumours have been circling since the release of TDK so I wondered what peoples opinions are?

Gotham Campaign

having watched Dark Knight once again (and again ad again), i was thinking of starting a Gotham Campaign, something like 5-6 scenarios where the players will be the "Bat family".
I'll have 4-5 players, so i thought they could play Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and if needed, Huntress.
I'd like to put them against the usual rogue's gallery, Joker, Penguin, Freeze, Ivy, etc., possibly connecting the motives of all the baddies, for a grand finale against Al'Ghul.

I enjoyed Batman and the Outsiders from the start, when Batgirl came it was the icing on the cake, and compared to the series named after her, I still think this is the better.
But, in following with the Batman RIP storyline, in this issue Batman is dead/missing-presumed-dead. Phy wrote an excellent piece about The Dark Knight a couple months ago, and now it's a closed thread so I have to start a new one.
My thought experiment is this: Given that the themes played out in the movie are fundamental to human nature and can be related to Christian theology, could there have been a way to write essentially the same story from within a Christian worldview, that wouldn't have killed it?

Comics Absorbing Influences from Other Media

Mostly everyone these days notices how comics are influencing other media - that is, how they are providing materials for movies and tv (Smallville, for example, and assuming that Heroes is primarily an original comic book on television). But comics have almost always absorbed successful ideas from the media that they spin off. Kryptonite came from the Superman radio show, Batgirl came from the Batman television series, etc.
