thinking about stopping bf at 7 months - so many questions
(30 Sep 2008)
I'm so conflicted. I just don't know what to do.
Baby is 7 months old.
He is so disinterested in nursing. He may stay on the boob a minute at a time before flailing around and looking at other things. Then he will latch back on and then he's off and it goes like that. Nursing in public is out now because he is so loud and wiggly - it's like a "hey look at my mom's boob" show as he screams to get their attention and then moves out of the way for all to see. He often pulls away like he's just not...

how long does it take to stop thinking about it
(07 Nov 2008)
i was just wondering
for all of the people out there that have stopped cutting how long did it take for the need to cut to leave.
I have been cutting for 6 years had a massive break of about 8 months however i gave in.
so in conclusion how long does it take until you dont wake up thinking about it, until you don't feel the need or have the passion for it.

Thinking about tradring out a 450
(02 Nov 2008)
I've been toying with the idea of a motard for a little while.
I've seen some ok prices on CRF 450R's but really want to know what I'd be getting into.
How often do they need to be rebuilt? I've been lurking but seen varying opinions.
What kind of power does it make? I'd like to compare it P/W vs my old bikes (620 Monster, 998).
What kinds of parts should I look for?
Stator (necessary?) light kit Wheels/tires 17" kickstand Speedo What else?
How different is an SM vs sportbike?

So what does everyone think about this statement
(29 Sep 2008)
Just curious
a bit from Kobold Quarterly interviewing Monte Cook
KQ: What are you looking forward
to right now in RPGs?
MC: Frankly, what Im looking for-
ward to most is just playing them with-
out having to think about the industry
and its politics, its ups and downs, and
so on. I think the tabletop rpg industry
is in for some rocky times ahead, and
Im not too sad that Ive stepped back
from it.

Thinking about getting a sniper rifle.
(09 Oct 2008)
Like I need another hobby?
A close friend who teaches sniper shooting for the Police / SWAT here in Atlanta is offering me one of his personal rifles in trade for my FN-PS90. Truthfully I have not shot my FN very much and while it is neat to look at, I am more interested in precision shooting.
Here is what he is offering:
Remington 700 PSS. Heavy barrel.
McMillan A5 stock, custom fitted and bedded to the Remington
Badger Ordnance floorplate and trigger guard.
Custom trigger job and bolt polish....

RRFF Review - something to think about
(10 Oct 2008)
This post is not going to make me the most popular bloke on here, but sharing opinions and providing information is the greater purpose of this website so Ill have a crack.
As an Ausfisher (with a background in science) I was at one of the recent RRFF meetings and was astonished with the way the DPI&F estimates of recreational catch and the varying estimates of the stock assessment (5 estimates ranging from conservative to less conservative) were immediately discounted as fudged figures and ...

Something to Think About [Forum Related]
(15 Oct 2008)
If this thread gets closed that's fine but I just want to ask something to everyone on this forum.
How many of you are tired of there being so many divisions on here? Of course there are going to be some issues between members, but how many of you are noticing that people are actually starting to leave this forum because of unwanted drama?
No one say, "Well so and so is the cause of it." I don't think this needs to be a place to name people and if people wish to do that then do it privately amon...

If you are thinking about a Nissen...
(16 Oct 2008)
Hi,
I'm new to the forum, but I've been following you guys for over a year. Here are my story and some of my thoughts.
If you are contemplating a Nissen fundoplication, think very carefully about how badly you really need it. If your symptoms are well controlled (or just moderately-well controlled) with a PPI (e.g., Nexium, Prilosec, Aciphex, etc.), consider staying on the drugs and foregoing surgery. It is true that there are side effects from these drugs--possible osteoporosis down the road, B...
