Thinking about military... opinions needed

Alright, I may have done things backwards but here is the situation....
I graduated in May from Westminster with a BA in Business Finance and a minor in Accounting - gpa 3.3 and I'm 23 years old

Thinking about tradring out a 450 I've been toying with the idea of a motard for a little while.
I've seen some ok prices on CRF 450R's but really want to know what I'd be getting into.
How often do they need to be rebuilt? I've been lurking but seen varying opinions.
What kind of power does it make? I'd like to compare it P/W vs my old bikes (620 Monster, 998).
What kinds of parts should I look for?

Thinking about adopting a dog

My daughter has been wearing us out for a Puppy for the past couple months...she says that all she wants for Christmas is a puppy (her Christmas list has the puppy, and then pretty much just stuff related to a dog...IE - new collar, dog toys, rawhide bones, etc.).
Anyways, the wife and I are not against it, we're big fans of Border Collies, and our current Female (Arrow) is a great dog....I think she'd do good with a companion too....but we are not at all excited about raising a puppy, especiall...

Thinking about painting boat

Looking for opinions on painting my boat- 1987 Tiara 3100 open. Freshwater boat, northern climate. Boat is now standard Tiara white. I was thinking about painting flag blue with awlgrip (professionally done). Does anyone know ballpark price for a boat this size (12 ft beam)? Also, any comments about awlgrip v. imron. Any comments about fading, etc. (boat is stored in covered slip most of the time)? My topsides are in pretty good shape and will respond well to some elbow grease, but I relly like...

I just began dabbling in the world of foreign shields and i only know a very few of the ins and outs of fake spotting, so i will leave these to the trained eyes to decide...
I have my own opinions about each of these items, however, i am very new to this area of the hobby and would like to get the expert's input. I have also done numerous searches regarding each looking for specific examples, but there are just so many exceptions its impossible for a shield newbie to be confident!

I am looking to buy a 1911. I have some experience with 1911s. A friend of mine has a couple of them. He new I liked guns so he invited me over to shoot steel plates this fall and I was instantly hooked. He let me shoot an older Springfield Mil-Spec slightly upgraded. Thinking about doing a re-blue

Hey all,
Haven't posted on here in a while...life tends to keep ya busy like that!
But anywhoo, I've been thinking lately about re-bluing one of the Remingtons (if not both). I have an 870 Wingmaster and a 700 ADL (with the matte blue barrel) that have been sort of rusted up over their years of use. I'm thinking the 870 wouldn't be too hard to do but maybe the matte blue of the 700 could be tricky.
Any opinions/advice/tips and tricks before I go about this? I've never done anything like this bef...
