Josh Childress paced five players in double figures in his first ever Euroleague game with 14 points as well as 8 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Euroleague Pre-Season Awards
(24 Oct 2008)
Rubio is injured. He should miss several games. Even when he comes back it will be him coming back off of surgery and also surgery to the hand which will affect his play. Also his team especially without him is very unlikely to make it past the regular season. So how exactly do you figure on him being first team all Euroleague and being the Rising Star winner?
And I didn't know there was an all Euroleague third team? Is there a third team or is this just your opinion on who would be on it if the...

08/09 Euroleague expectations & predictions
(03 Nov 2008)
As I’ve been reading, people have asked for a predictions-thread for the upcoming Euroleague season, and as I thought the same, here’s the thread. Feel free to post lose thoughts, expectations, predictions, rankings or whatever you want. Some of my thoughts (no ranking) …
Imo there are eight strong candidates to reach the 2009 Berlin Final Four.
CSKA
Papaloukas and Andersen were there when Messina started his CSKA stint and have been key players, so this will be really interesting. I think they...

D's Euroleague 11/26-27

Prokom vs Panathinaikos 2(-9) 60-67 NO
13-2 of prokom at 4th qrt ruined it...
Prokom is coming from 3 straight losses last one also in their home ground.
Panathinaikos just won the biggest game of the year yet vs olympiakos with 17 pts.
Pekovitc is the best Center I've seen in Euro, he can do everything. He demolished Olympiakos with 9/9 fg. Panathinaikos will feed him once again and when he will get double defended he will pass outside for the great shooters panathinaikos has. So pick and roll,...

Euroleague play - Nancy vs Panathinaikos - 11/5
(03 Nov 2008)
Well this is almost like a steal. Nancy is playing first time in the euroleague and she got already trashed two times. Once by Barcelona which is a great team(54-82) and once by mediocre team for euroleague standards Prokom (91-62).
Panathinaikos is coming from a huge loss by Barcelona (90-66) after a very dissapointing performance.
Panathinaikos usually after a big loss comes with a great win and since he is a contender he needs to prove that the loss from Barcelona was just a game.
I see reall...

Olympiacos Owners Want Kobe's Baby?
(18 Nov 2008)
Considering the lengths to go to get him I do wonder a bit. Truly a real love affair with Aggelopoulos brothers and Mamba.
$90 million?
http://www.raptorsforum.com/f/showthread.php?t=4267
The previous contract offer to Kobe Bryant from the Greek team Olympiacos Piraeus Basketball Club, which can be read about here, has been upped. The same types of amazing benefits are still being offered, only now the term is for $30 million per year net for 3 years, or $90 million net for 3 years. Also, becaus...

5 Reasons to hate the Spurs...
(28 Oct 2008)
Pretty funny....although they list a lot more than five reasons. They just group reasons together.
http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns...1027spurs.html
1. The Spurs' mastery of the flop
Maybe its the recent influx of foreign talent from soccer-playing countries. Maybe poor officiating is to blame. For whatever reason, the flop is more prevalent than ever in the NBA, and the Spurs have it down pat.
Yes, there are players from every team that exaggerate fouls and throw themselves to the floor. Bu...
