1. # 31 State By State: Book Explorers Edition - Book Explorers   (29 Oct 2008)
Book Explorers:There are so many great new books out right now about politics and presidents. And there are so many great books about the economy and our ever more-intimate global relationships. But I just couldn't bear to write about either topic for fear of igniting the pilot light under a political brawl and, well, really, I can't talk about the economy right now. I thoughtyou Book Explorers needed a break. You need some humor. You need to travel without having to fill up your tanks. You need to...

2. Water for Elephants - Book Explorers   (12 Nov 2008)
Has anyone read this book, if so what do you think about it? I thought it was really good.

3. re: ["What do you think about the action today on   (15 Dec 2008)
re: ["What do you think about the action today on CGR?"] The news you cited came out last Thursday, but the stock didn't move until today. I don't follow it closely enough to have an opinion, but it was up big on the AMEX on nearly 6 X volume. If Gold can stay above $800, many of these small caps, juniors, and explorers may see funds walk them up substantially into year end to "mark up" their portfolios. SOTB

4. OE Bezel Opinions   (21 Oct 2008)
Quote: : Now that the dust has settled, and everyone has received their Ocean Explorers, I thought it would be interesting to get your opinions on which bezel you prefer, the silver bezel or the black bezel and why. For me, I like them both about equally, but right now I'm still wearing the black bezel. Sorry, this was the best that I know to do. I kinda screwed-up the last poll, so here is Bloom's Poll restarted.

6. Federal Auto Bailout opinions?   (11 Nov 2008)
Read this and comment. Frankly, I don't agree with those hypocrites who say "To Hell with the American auto makers, they made their own bed, bla, bla, bla... ..." Sure they sold a lot of gas-guzzling SUV's... and gas guzzling Super Duty & 3500 series pickup trucks... AND THEY SOLD THEM AT A BIG PROFIT, TOO! Because the sanctimonious public demanded them! Will someone please introduce me to the first person who was forced at gunpoint or otherwise pressured into purchasing one of those gas-slurpin...

7. Ranger/Explorer FRONT brakes upgrade   (17 Nov 2008)
Ok, Following is a short explanation, or atleast as short as I can make it of factory FRONT brakes on Rangers, Bronco2's and Explorers. Starting in 1983 and continuing to the end of 1994 Ford used a "split pin" mounted caliper. With the EXCEPTION of some 1986 and early 1987 (through the end of Feb 87) Ford used the same caliper on ALL Ranger based vehicles AND the Aerostar on all these vehicles. Next, the '95-current front brakes use a TWO-PISTON caliper and caliper bracket, the bracket locates...

8. opinions on an Isuzu Trooper as a daily driver   (02 Dec 2008)
I'm selling my current daily driver (a '98 subaru impreza). I've had it for two years and it has been very good to me, but I am sick of cars period. I'm currently looking for a mid-sized SUV. Jeeps are out of the question, and I just don't like Explorers. I wanted something nice and considered a Land Rover. Although they are pricey, I have found a few with a reasonable price tag but have read too many bad reviews about their reliability...not to mention the ridiculous prices I would have to pay...

9. Whats in an Age? An Opinion: Open for Discussion   (19 Nov 2008)
While responding to another post I mentioned a leutenant in my old department being only 19 years old. So I ask you all, my peers what difference if any age makes. Should a 19 year old be able to command a vehicle and group of people, even if they know them back to front, suit to nuts? For that matter, if an insurance company permits it (and there are plenty in Connecticut), should anyone under the age of 21 be able to drive an apparatus? Ambulances, fire trucks... etc. Think about it... you can...

10. A Manse I'd like opinions on: Prehistoric Subgaian Jungle   (22 Nov 2008)
Okay, this is a Manse I wrote out to provide a nice place for a far East game that I will be playing in. It contains one of the artifacts that I will be owning, and wraps multiple stories into a nice contigious affair. Plus, I think it might just be a damned interesting read. ^_^ So tell me what you think. Prehistoric Subgaian Jungle Wood Manse 3 Drawbacks: 1-point Habitability Drawback Powers: Outside Fate (4 points), Provider (Wood Favored 3; 2 points), Subtle Breath of Sextes Jylis (Wood Favo...
