Opinions about school discipline.

I had a discipline write up on a student on Friday. A teacher walked into the bathroom and saw him hanging over the stalls a few feet off the ground. It was right before recess so I just had him miss his recess so he would remember to be responsible when using the restroom as to not hurt himself or others and sent the note home to be signed. His mom sends back this:
"In the future I have a right to know about his punishment before it happens!"
Um doesn't it make more sense to correct the behavio...

TV Gurus....need some opinions...

So I'm thinking about buying my parents a new tv for Christmas, and I'm thinking of actually waking up early and hitting up the Black Friday sales...just to be part of the crowd and have something to talk about at work
But after doing some window shopping it came down to 2:
50" LCD Plasma (LG brand I believe)
60" DLP 1080p (Mitsu)
Both will be $1000
TV may have a game console hooked up that won't be used much maybe once/twice a week.
Either way it'll be better than their current 10+ year old 60"...

5 day workout split opinions

Hey guys,
Been doing a 3 day workout split for a while and have decided to go for a 5 day instead because I find that my workout are too long when I do the 3 days.
Anyway, this is what I plan on doing
Monday - Chest/Bis
Tuesday - Legs
Wednesday - Soulders
Thursday - Back
Friday - Triceps
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - Rest
what do you think about this? Is a bad idea to work out five days straight? I'd rather keep my weekends to sleep in...

Need some better-informed opinions on possible accuracy issue

Ok, here's the scoop. Sorry if it gets a bit wordy.
I have a Savage Model 116 in .270 win. It was my first "big" deer rifle. Starting out, I always shot 130 grain Core-Lokt from it, just b/c that's what my dad uses and picked up for me at the store. I tried 150 grain Core-Lokt from it as well, since we hunt in fairly thick woods, but they were inconsistent out of it. Last year I did some bear hunting with it, so I decided to give 150s a try again, but this time I tried Hornady. They shot beautif...

[TD] TD Feedback, +rep For Constructive Opinions

As some of you may know, I'm making my own TD.
It's based around creeps using MP instead of HP, just for a little change.
I chose MP because I think there's a couple cool things you can do with it that you can't really do as easily with HP.
I've been following this guide, and just wanted some feedback on my creep/tower layout before I moved onto actually making the thing in WE.
This is an alpha version, which is why I've only made a few towers and only 25 waves. Remember, I want to get feedback...

Just got home. - 1 Man's Opinions

Hello, we just returned home yesterday September 23rd. We arrived the evening of Wed. September 17th and stayed at Coronado Springs. I have two kids ages 10 and 7 and we traveled with another family of four whose kids are 12 and 10 and it was their first trip. Just some random thoughts about our experiences;

LCD TV opinions

Like many, I have been holding out waiting for LCD TV's to keep dropping in price. Well I've held off long enough, and decided its time to get with the program. 46-52" will be the size. I will be buying a PS3 to run Bluray DVD's and GT5 for starters. I will be playin a bunch of PS3 games on the TV, so that is also a consideration.
Right now, the top of my list are the Samsung 650 series LCD's. 50000:1 contrast, 4ms refresh rate and 4 HDMI inputs. Having as many inputs as possible, is a huge plus...
