I was just sitting here this morning thinking about my old buddy Bill. He's been going through a lot lately & then yesterday morning at 2:00 A.M. the worst of the worst happened, his little brother finally lost his battle with cancer.

thinking about converting...

thats right converting my 06 abm ss to an 08-09 spec.but with my lsj motor. reason being is because i love the color of my car. so what do u guys think? as for the conversion is the radio, i know ima need tech 2 but i can get that, 08-09 steering wheel, top and lower grill, rims, and finally the new seats. but its all just a dream for right now but i'd like to hear ur opinions. thanks

Windows 7(Something to think about?)

First and foremost I know that the main issue on the boards right now is PT8 and getting everything to work. So I wanted to sidetrack a little.
We all know that Microsoft announced Windows 7 at PDC 08 and that beta version have been leaked to the net where computer geeks and nerds a like are testing its ability.

Finally time for me to think about upgrading:

Its time for me to think about upgrading. Right now I have a D70 that I love, but isn't cutting it anymore.
I really saw this when I shot a concert with a friend that had a D200, his high ISO images were so much cleaner than mine.
Reasonably speaking, I am looking at the D300, D700, and the D3
I know any one of them are an improvement over the D70 but where is the median between the three cameras? (price/performance)
My friend also rented the D700 for a week and said that he absolutely hated the...

Please start thinking about the CMG Meet-Up No. 2

If you have been following the CMG Contributor's thread—probably not the best place to discuss a forthcoming Meet-Up—then you know there is substantial interest in such an event.
Since the original idea came from our dear Canadian friend, Henry Slofstra, we hope he will be involved again. Werner Isler, our esteemed long-time CMGer will be coordinating things again.
We will need to select a month that is convenient for everyone (February 2008 was our last meet-up), then select probably a weekend...

Thinking about finally thinking about upgrading our TVs

Need some advice as the last new TV I bought was a 27" about 5 years ago for the bedroom and only got it because it was a good deal at Sam's.
Seeing as prices seem to be dropping dramatically, we are thinking about replacing some of our standard definition TVs. Probably making a decision by the end of January or mid-Feb.
We are thinking of getting a 37" flat panel for the bedroom and a 50" or larger for the living room.
