Nuke 5 - try it out
(16 Sep 2008)
It's becoming increasingly obvious that Shake in whatever form has no future in the hands of its current owner. Sad as it seems, there's been nothing for about 3 years now (4.1 really wasn't anything major).
The old versions of Nuke had a really cumbersome interface but Nuke 5 is a big step forward and the interface can be setup almost exactly like Shake's.
It still has differences but they are much easier to look past now:
It has so many nice features. I need to test out a lot more and there ar...

Oregon forums: The Coast for a Day with Young Kids
(17 Sep 2008)
We will be visiting the Salem area for a week or so, and have a day to spend at the coast. I'm hoping to ride over spend the night, and have the next entire day.
Key factors -- visiting around October 19th, kids are 6 and 4, we're interested in natural features more so than tourist attractions. Also looking for hotel with indoor pool (recommendations?). Been thinking about the Lincoln City/Newport area, but also considering Astoria/Cape Disappointment/Cannon Beach area.
I probably would avoid th...

September 11, 2001 --- Never Forget
(27 Sep 2008)
September 11, 2001 --- Never Forget This is a picture of the U.S.S. New York. She was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center.
It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.
Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite , LA to cast the ship's bow section. Wh...

Important suggestions (already done?)
(25 Sep 2008)
I have a few suggestions what i would like to see at 227 final, having the slow speed UT like downloads optional, without web downloading they are slower than the normal Unreal downloading, it was done that wy to not cause lag, but nowadays with stronger connections and such, it's kinda useless.
I had other suggestions as well, but right now I can't remember them, hmmm.
Oh well, isn't it still possible to make the 220 mods working on 227? I mean the incompatiblity was caused just by different va...

Observations, questions, and TMTA in the news
(28 Sep 2008)
For all the destitute, angry, depressed, anxious, and cynical: 1) Assuming for a moment you’re right and our tech is obsolete and/or indefensible in patent litigation…..in essence WORTHLESS…and/or no one will be interested in buying, BUT assuming you’d concede that cash held by Meta is still equal in value to cash held by others (that’s humor), PPS should increase at least 18-25% from current $16.28 to get to cash value equivalent PPS of $19-20 (~$268M current cash/Intel/warrants/Nvidia; project...
