Pocket Holsters: Best holster retention method
(15 Oct 2008)
What are your opinions on the various methods employed to keep pocket holsters in your pocket as you draw your weapon (hooks, thumb push release, friction/sticky outer material, etc). Do any of them work better than the others or have any particular disadvantages?

How many holsters in your holster box/drawer
(15 Dec 2008)
Everyone tends to accumulate a number of holsters until they find the one that works best for them for each handgun. I was just looking and I counted 17 holsters that lay in my holster box. I think about getting rid of some of them that get used least but every time I do I think I will need the one I do, lol.
How many are in your box?

FIST holsters
(06 Nov 2008)
Any opinions on these. I've been looking for a IWB holster and these guys do them custom at a decent price without a 9 month wait. Any opinions?

Tactical/Field Holster
(20 Oct 2008)
You guys have any experience with a more tactically geared holster? Something that will fit on a utility belt and/or a thigh holster is what I'm looking for. Just wondering if you guys have any opinions. This is for a 5" XD 40.

Holdster or Wallet Holster for my P3AT?
(28 Dec 2008)
Nope, that's not a misspelling.
The Holdster is nearly identical to the Wallet Holster made by ConcealCity.com. More pics for the Wallet Holster.
So my question is this: Is one better than the other?
They're both about the same cost and they both look like I might be able to get an Armalaser in there with it.
And in the course of my research, I came across the Pocket Slipper and Pocket Slipper Laser.
Without a laser, it costs $20 more than the other wallet holsters. With the laser it is about $1...

I'm trying to decide which type of holster to get next...
(24 Oct 2008)
Help me out.
I have a UBG Canute IWB holster for my M&P9 fullsize (4.25" barrel). The holster is nice, but the butt of the gun just doesn't do me any favors, and I find it difficult or uncomfortable to conceal. If I can get it comfortable, it sticks out, if it conceals, it bugs me to death.
So....thinking about other carry options.
These would mainly be for winter (I guess? I don't know how well it'd work in summer):

Which Holster For Backpacking
(28 Dec 2008)
I decided to make my Model 19 6" my new go to backpacking gun, so I'll be in the market for a holster.
In past threads I have heard mention that many prefer a shoulder holster as opposed to a belt holster, has anyone had a problem with such a set-up with a backpack on? I'm thinking about a vertical carry model since the revolver has a 6" barrel.
Is it a pain having the pack straps so close to the revolver, either on the hike, or putting the pack on and off?
What do most prefer out on the trail,...

Opinions on Desantis Nemesis holster
(10 Nov 2008)
I am considering a Desantis Nemesis holster for my J frame 342PD. I have been reading quite a bit about them, but it seems that people mostly carry in the front pocket. I am curious about how it works for those who carry in the rear pocket. I mostly wear jeans when not in uniform and have carried the same gun in an older generic leather holster in my rear pocket for quite some time now. The holster is shot and its really time to get something mission specific for this type of carry.
So, is there...

Which holster for this DSLR+grip+24-70mm f/2.8 lens combo?
(03 Nov 2008)
I know I'll probably get trashed for saying this, but I have a Nikon D300, MB-D10 grip, and 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. I recently switched from a Canon. I'm saying this so that I can justify my stay at POTN!
Anyways, I'm looking at a holster for my camera setup. I want to reuse one of my Northface backpacks instead of buying a dedicated camera bag. I have my eyes set on a Thinktank Digital Holster 50, but the problem is that it doesn't hold a flash and or filters.
