My thinking About Pro Tools

I bought PTMP in June of 2007. Since then I have upgraded and can't wait for version 8. I use a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R. I love it. It sounds great. The pre-amps are very, very good.
I bought this to record my band in house and do all the tracking ourselves, taking our time and doing it slowely so we get it just the way we want it.
Then if we decide to take it to a Pro studio that uses PT we could mix and master there. My thinking was that would save us a ton of money.

We are going to Disney in June, right after school lets out. However we were thinking about making this the "big" Christmas present. My DH and I can't decide - Should we wrap something or do something special under the tree or just have fewer presents and not tell her anything about the trip until we leave in June as a surprise? DD is 7 and was disapointed because three of her friends went to Disney this year and we could not go like we had planned last year - her little brother came along inste...

Yosemite first 2 weeks in June with teenagers!!

I am thinking about bringing my 2 boys, 13 and 15, the beginning of June for about 10 days. Is this time of year good to come and is there enough to do with them for that period of time? I would also like to take them to the redwoods. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks :)

Greece to Turkey, June 2009

Hi everyone
Im planning a 10-15 days solo trip in June 2009 (beginning or mid) from Athens, Greece, to God knows where, Turkey.
Though Ive done it before (Athens to Istanbul), this time Im thinking about going as deep as I can and totally ignore the coast line.
So, first of all, anybody has any route suggestions apart the E-80 highway? Secondly, are there any fellow Turkish motorcyclists available for any kind of advice?

This place would be more of a mini-vacation for everyone but i figure what the heck. Lets have a good size get together. This will be a 3 day event at the very least. If you don't want to drive, fly in to XNA and i will take you there or hook you up with a rental. PM me if interested so i can work things out with lodging discounts. If a couple of people share a cabin the prices aren't too bad. I was thinking about middle to the end of june on time, i will put a poll but it wont be set in stone....

Well, hell, just to keep some good discussion going - here's another one to think about.
When I was a Staff Officer in Korea, we, perforce had to study the Korean War, just in case the NKA decided to try coming South again. For reason of geography, there are only a few good invasion routes. There's nothing "artifiicial" about the DMZ - that area has been a natural border between the Northern and Southern Kingdoms of the Kor'yo Peninsula for over a Millennium.

We are going to be in San Francisco for a wedding the weekend of June 6, 2008 and are planning a 6 night trip after that. We were thinking about going to Crater Lake and Lassen Volcano National Parks. How many days should we plan for each? Is there anything to see in between? Are they too far apart for our time frame?
