European Union - Good idea or not?
(29 Sep 2008)
European Union - Good idea or not? Was the creation of the European Union (And also it's predecessors too, such as the EEC) a good idea?
From my point of view, the European Union was created as a result of WW2, it was established with hugs and kisses to former enemies, the current form of the EU, was established in 1992, that's nearly 50 years after the war, personally I believe even that was a direct result of WW2.
The European Union is becoming more and more powerful, and soon we might see a r...

New law at my country
(21 Oct 2008)
Ok this is the situation.
I am from Macedonia and our government voted and new law for our cities, the law is to punishment every one that throws debris on the streets, but the problem is that the streets at our cities are full with debris and the government have done nothing to clean our streets and they just punish us when we throw debris. The punishment is good because they want to clean our streets, but why they did that before they clean our streets.
What do you think about this Law.

(13 Oct 2008)
I thought this would an interesting topic..
Does experience, trump what is writern in the bible,or doctrine..
Take for example all these “spirit” threads..
It is not found in scripture, that a spirit filled believer, can be inhabited..
Most of the proponents of the belief system, will tell you of their experience,,
Fine..thats their right!
We all in some ways go by experience.
I have argued also, that though there are a lot of healing / faith verses.
Yet what about the experience of an ill saint?

Everyone is entitled to their Opinion..
(14 Oct 2008)
So what is your opinion on Mr George Burley..
He has suprised me with these poor team selections, and tactics etc.
Under his management..
We drew 1-1 with Croatia @ Hampden
We got beat 3-1 from Czech Republic away from home
We drew with Northern Ireland at Home 0-0
We then travel to Macedonia and get defeated 1-0
We then beat Iceland 2-1
We then draw 0-0 with a mediocre Norway side!
All the same tactic being used... apart from the 1-1 draw with the croats..
Set that aside..
Look at the campaign...

Ban Chao in Merv?
(25 Oct 2008)
Here's a passage from the Wikipedia article on Ban Chao:
Quote: Ban Chao became Protector General (都護; Duhu) in 91, and was based at Kucha. In 97, Ban Chao crossed the Tian Shan and Pamir mountains with an army of 70,000 men comprised entirely of light cavalry and mounted infantry in a campaign against the Xiongnu/Huns, who were harassing the trade routes now known as the Silk Road. The Han general made an alliance with the Parthian king Pacorus II and established his base on shores of the Caspi...

Votes, Recognitions and a Prize
by Nebojsa Malic
Almost eight months after the US followed by most NATO members recognized the occupied Serbian province of Kosovo as a dependent state, the Serbian government finally did something about it. On October 8, the UN General Assembly approved Serbia's request to seek the opinion of the International Court of Justice about the legality of Kosovo's separation. Albania, the US and four Pacific island nations in its orbit were the only votes against. F...

The Eagles Standard Vol. VI Issue XII
(29 Oct 2008)
Welcome to another issue of the Eagle Standard!
After a slight lull in our deliverance, I bet we've noticed something different- where's Empress Meg? Well, after issue's of dedication, and a shiny new red badge that happens to read Council Officer Administrator, ]she deemed it necessary to name a replacement, and she chose me, for which I am honored.
When possible I suggest dropping by Meg's profile, and offering her a congratulations, she certainly deserves it.
Other then that, we've also had s...
