1. Opinions needed-Mama Melrose or Hollywood & Vine   (07 Nov 2008)
We have trip already planned for Feb & since Fantasmic is only showing a few times while we are there I was thinking about adding a Fantasmic Dinning package as an ADR but have not acted on it yet. Now with the new buy 4 get 3 free I figure it will be busier & may be even a better idea to book a dinner package. We really don't want to wait for the show for over an hour. What would you suggest Mama Melrose or Hollywood & Vine? Buffets are fine for this family and we have not eaten at either of th...

2. Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals   (17 Nov 2008)
As much as I hate PETA, I'm gonna have to congratulate them for a job well done on this one. http://www.peta.org/cooking-mama/index.asp Quote: : 1up You're not the only one arousing the ire of animal rights activists, Lindsay Lohan -- in an effort to raise awareness of turkey cruelty in the lead up to Thanksgiving, PETA has launched a new Flash game taking aim at Cooking Mama (via Kotaku). Called "Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals," the game is intended to "urge Majesco to make a vegetarian recip...

3. Majesco Responds to PETA Cooking Mama Game   (20 Nov 2008)
Mama was none too happy with her portrayal as an animal murderer.  http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/newsArt.cfm?artid=17241  Recently, PETA released a flash imitation of Majesco's popular title, Cooking Mama, portraying Mama as a ruthless turkey slayer.     According to PETA, Cooking Mama condones the slaughtering of animals for food, and thus the manner in which animals bred for consumption are kept. PETA states the game is "no longer…quite so innocent" when a person stops to think about the...

4. Peta Complain About Cookin Mama!   (18 Nov 2008)
How fucking stupid is this! "Ask Mama for Veggie Recipes! She looks innocent enough—a happy woman who has a twinkle in her eye and loves to cook—but if you take just a minute to think about what happens to the animals who are killed for Mama's meals, a fun cooking game no longer seems quite so innocent. Every year, billions of animals are raised and killed for food, but people often overlook the immense suffering that occurs before they make it to their dinner plates. The idyllic barnyard scenes...

6. Most Evvillleee Skating Mama   (29 Nov 2008)
All this talk of Mama Leung in the Mira Leung thread got me thinking about the worst skating "Mama's" in the history of the sport. Sadly, my knowledge goes back only as far as Mama Chin so please if you vote other than indicate who it is. ETA: How embrassing, yet more flagrant typos in one of my polls.

7. I heart the May mamas   (01 Nov 2008)
Whew, I was just on another website's May 2009 forum, and good golly, there was s much drama there! It made me even more appreciative of you ladies and the tone we have here in our due dates group. We have had different opinions without making judgments or pronouncements about others' character or or insulting each other. It's a very safe place where we can ask questions, celebrate milestones, share information, and get the support that we need. And I think we're good at voicing opinions without...

9. I need your good thoughts now mamas!   (15 Nov 2008)
Last night I was on my way to a LLL meeting (alone, thank goodness) and I was in a pretty bad car accident. Some older woman rear-ended my car while I was stopped 10 cars deep at a red light. I then hit the car in front of me and she then hit the side of my car too. I think I immediately went into a state of shock b/c it seems like I went into this odd survival/protective mode and when I got out of the car to assess the situation all I could think about was my car! To me the impact did not seem...

10. *** May 2006 Mamas' November Thread ***   (13 Nov 2008)
Hello everyone. It's November! It's amazing how quickly one can go from Halloween mode to thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas. BBM, I'm so sorry about your MIL. I hope you all can find some joy together with her in the midst of her troubles. I'm also going to PM you about Facebook. Once Phoebe falls asleep I'm going to try to sort through the mountains of stuff in the attic to find things to send to my sister for my future niece. I'm also pretty sure I have some turtlenecks up there I shou...
