Damnit Marshall, stop impressing me with your old amp models
(30 Nov 2008)
I'm sick of buying marshalls, but I always run into some old marshall from before the '00s and get blown away. First happened with my 800 2205 then my 6100. I walked into my favorite guitar shop today (austin vintage guitars) looking for a Mesa Rectoverb to compliment my 800. Anyways they had a handful of vintage 800's and 900's, but no rectoverb. So I decided to try these oldies out. I tried a few of the 800 2205s, but didn't like them as much as mine (mine has a more scooped fizzy sound for so...

Opinions - Marshall TSL100/TSL601?
(24 Oct 2008)
Hi!
I'm considering picking up one of these amps and wonder if anyone has played/used these? I trust the BB members' opinions more than the typical Harmony Central reviews. Thanks!

Peavey Ultra or Marshall 3203??
(06 Dec 2008)
So, I have an opportunity to get either of these for <$400. I'm not able to try either of them, since the stores near me don't have them. I'm the only guitarist in a 4 piece hard rock cover band (bassist, drummer, and singer). We also do some older classic rock stuff (Bad Company, Skynyrd). Hoping to get some opinions to help me choose.
I've also been tempted by a Traynor YCS50 for <$600 and the Egnater Rebel 20. Also, I don't have the opportunity to try either of these.

Marshall Guv'na
WOW...I tried one today and fell in love with it. I've got about 5 distortion/overdrive pedals on my board and I think I might get this one. Any opinions on it?

Marshall's challenge: Put Pro Bowl vote in past

Marshall's challenge: Put Pro Bowl vote in past by admin on December 19th, 2008, 12:41 pm
Great news, Bronco Nation. Brandon Marshall isn't thinking about the Pro Bowl.
Let the record show he thought about it for most of the season. Marshall, when asked two weeks ago he were following the voting: "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't."
That's how Marshall is wired. He wants the love. He wants to be recognized as one of the NFL's premier wide receivers. He wants everyone to know h...

Marshall's such a cutie.
(01 Dec 2008)
Think about it, Marshall is like, the cutest thing. I love it when he rambles on and on and on. I feel bad when Jack yells at him for rambling, it's not his fault, he's just nervous. He's like that dorky kid in school that's so dorky that people like him.

1969 Marshall Superlead/4x12 questions, price
(15 Dec 2008)
Hey Fellas. A friend of mine has offered to sell me the following:
1969 Marshall superlead head, metal panel, 100 watt, a-series, laydown tranny. Looks 100% original and very clean IMHO. He is hesitant to turn it on cause something might be wrong after it has sat, unused in his mother's basement for the last 15 years .
1969 Marshall 4x12 slant cab, G12m25, 75hz greenbacks, missing the Marshall logo. Non-original casters. The cone codes check out. No issues. Other than that, looks 100% original a...

Did Marshall quit on Broncos?
(03 Nov 2008)
The following Denver Post article raises the question as to whether Brandon Marshall quit on the Broncos yesterday.
http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_10883258
Here is a Quote: from the article:
"In the face of a bitter defeat, Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall turned and ran. Is that how a winner acts? Or did Marshall quit? "He's one of those soft receivers where he has to have the ball all the time. If he don't get it, he's going to mope and cry," Miami linebacker Joey Porter said Sunday. If...

Jason Segel In Forgetting Sarah Marshall
(20 Oct 2008)
So for those of you who have seen the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall what did you think about Jason Segels performance? I find it has been getting easier to determine a good actor from a great actor depending on their ability to take on different roles with different movies. Jason Segel is beginning to get noticed for his talent. Segel had been known from the show "Freaks and Geeks" and now has moved into his hit role and writer for the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall. If any of you enjoyed the...
