Martz
(27 Dec 2008)
SF is expected to let Mike Martz, their OC, go after this season. He did some good things with Detroit last year and obviously did some great things with St Louis in the past. I would think that hes a huge upgrade of Turner. What do all of you think about him?

Frank Gore and other Niner opinions
(30 Nov 2008)
Frank Gore:
I know he is the best player on the niners but he really has not been doing well as of late
I don't know exactly what's wrong, but he has not looked very good, whether its because of the run blocking or because he just is getting to the holes quickly enough.
-He has dropped a couple of key passes on 3rd downs in a few games when he was wide open that could have changed the games a little.
-He continues to have a slight case of fumbles on occasion and lost one today that would have ch...

Thoughts on Mike Martz?
(29 Nov 2008)
Hey Guys,
I know prior to the season I stopped in and made my opinion of Martz known and it got some of the Niner Faithful all riled up at me, but Im curious as to what you guys think of him at this point. Like I had said, he's certainly an upgrade over Hostler, but there have been definite issues with turnovers and sacks as well. so I pose the question(s)-
Do you guys like Mike Martz? Do you want Mike Martz back? Do you think the personnell you have fits his scheme? If not, how will it affect y...

You want offense? I'll give you offense!
(08 Dec 2008)
You may be asking yourself, is big_palooka really going there? Oh yes, oh yes I am! With out further ado, I would like to announce my choice for coach of the Oakland Raiders next season. Drumroll please
Mike Martz (Yes, I did it)
Now, before you all jump on my back and kick me out of Raider nation consider my argument about coach Martz, who is currently getting quality results out of little know scrubs across the bay.
Accomplishments:
Martz has a track record of success in the league being a par...

Mike Martz
(27 Dec 2008)
Let say Brett Farve does decide to come back and we do sign or draft a big play WR. Do you think and it's your opinion do you think he would be a good option as OC. It is reported that he not coming back to SF do you take a chance on him to spear the field.

Alex Smith sticking around for 2009?
(08 Nov 2008)
Recent comments by Scot McLoughan suggest that the organization could keep Alex Smith on the roster next year by restructuring his contract.
I like the idea. Let his shoulder heal up until spring, then give him a chance to compete for the starter's job in '09. Especially if we bring back the WCO or a guy like Norv Turner. Alex would probably make more in SF (due to loyalty from Scot M) than on the open market, and SF would also give him the best chance to compete for the job. Worst case scenario...

Biggest dissapointment.
(29 Oct 2008)
Since there is nothing positive to talk about in regards to the Lions, i thought I'd pose a question to Lions fans. One that I can't help but think about a lot.
What were your biggest suprises/dissapointments on draft day during the millen era. Now, don't say not drafting Tom Brady or something like that. More so, what players did you honestly believe we should have taken ON draft day and were shocked when we didn't.
For me there are 4.

The Quarterbacks
(01 Dec 2008)
Everyone here loves to piss and moan and go back and forth about which guy played better or did this or that better. They were both terrible yesterday. Trent was under throwing people and not getting his reads done quick enough, JP was playing the chicken-with-no-head style QB, running in circles in the pocket, taking dumb sacks, making horrendous reads. Neither one of them played admirably or up to a high schooler's level.
It's got to get you thinking. Why does this seem to be a reoccurring sit...

my first post
(12 Nov 2008)
hey everyone,
I've been browsing this site for about a year now and i must say this place is AWESOME! Finally, I feel its time to express my own feelings about this team.
just a bit about me: I grew up in the bay area and have been a die hard niners fan since i knew what the NFL was. I currently live in Colorado, but that doesn't change my love for the niners.
that being said, here's what i feel about the future of the 49ers organization:

Our best offseason move...
(27 Dec 2008)
There have been many opinions and debates about what the Bills should or should not do for us to be successful next year. Whether its hire this coach, sign this FA, trade for this player, draft this guy, etc.,etc.,etc. To me (JMO), it's pretty simple. We need to hire a legimate, qualified GM who has a PROVEN, WINNING track record. Longevity (as in Carl Peterson) doesn't neccessarily mean successful. After the TD debacle, Ralph has made it quite clear in the last couple of weeks that one guy is n...
