1. 2008 Scion Tc in Black or Flint Mica?!   (15 Dec 2008)
Hi, This is my first post ever on the scion boards! I have an option between getting the 2008 Scion Tc in either Black or Flint Mica. I was just curious on some peoples opinions on which color they prefer and stuff. Thanks!

2. FS TC: Flint Mica RS1 Lip   (17 Nov 2008)
For sale is my Flint Mica RS1 front lip. Been thinking about getting the CF version. I'm only asking $55 for this lip; seeing as it does have a few scratches on it from speed bumps and driveways. If you would like it painted a different color, please add a minimum of $45 to the original cost and I'll gladly repaint it for you via spray gun NOT rattle can. However, if you do opt to get it repainted then I will need to borrow your tow hook cover to properly match the paint. Pictures:

3. We think: Keller, Mica and Brown-Waite are best picks in Distri...   (11 Oct 2008)
Maybe it's just me, but does anyone care in the least which of the candidates the Sentinel supports? I do my own research, and the opinions of a large corporation regarding which candidate is best could not matter less to me.

4. Need some opinions   (17 Oct 2008)
For a while now I've been trying to figure out what to do with my hood.I want to paint it but still be able to see the carbon fiber through it at least in spots. So I was down in the garage today blcking out my emblems when I was standing there for a minute I saw in the reflection on the hood the way I want to paint. The picture I got isn't the best would have preferred not having to use the flash but it kept coming out to dark to see what I saw.So I took one with the flash and its not exactly wh...

So my question is what do you guys think I should be able to get for my car. Its an 08.5 Black Mica Sport with 7800 miles on it the car is like new and only has a few rock chips on the hood.

8. OT: Brass Spark Plug   (01 Nov 2008)
Many years ago i bought a 1908 (est) Foos 2 HP Tank Cooled stationary engine with a brass spark plug. I sold the engine last month, but kept the spark plug because it was unique, over 4" in total length, 3/4" pipe thread, mica insulation, take apart, with an extendable electrode. Why a brass spark plug???? corrosive enviroment? near saltwater?? Opinions? Anyway, here's a pic.

9. Starter Repair   (17 Oct 2008)
This is just an exercise in being the cheapest SOB on the mountain: I bought a spare F134 and want to check the compression. The old starter will turn the motor with plugs removed but draws 400+ amps (pegs inductive ammeter). It will not turn the motor with the comp gauge attached. Upon pulling the rear end of starter: The bushing ID is 0.010"+ bigger than the shaft. The brushes are worn pretty good but usable. I took a dental pick and scratched the mica between 2 commutator ribs and cleared the...

10. Weapons integration why so difficult and costly???   (18 Nov 2008)
Reading the new Rafale thread got me thinking about weapons integration and why it is apparently so costly and time consuming. One post in that thread stated that the Rafale has mostly French origin weapons integrated onto it (MICA, AASM, Exocet, etc.) and that a stumbling block to export success is the fact that other western origin weapons have not been integrated. I thought that MIL-STD 1760 was supposed to make weapons and stores integration much easier than MIL-STD 1553 systems did. I under...
