Sock monkeys and racism?

I have a question I want to ask - do people consider making sock monkeys to be racist or offensive in any way? The thought has not crossed my mind until this morning when I find that I have an offensive comment on my blog referring to two sock monkeys I made, in which I am asked if I am racist or just ignorant? I don't understand this and it has really upset me.
I know its just a comment on a blog and there are a lot of weirdos out there that write all sorts of nuts things just to insight people...

I recently met a girl that I'm really into. At this point, I'm 99% positive she is into me, as she seems to find a lot of excuses to come talk to me. What bothers me is I'm pretty sure she is seeing some guy right now. I've been saving hard with the intentions of spending a clean fortune at the NEC. I want a new lid, Steering damper and a set of rearsets for my ZX6r.
I like arai's but is it worth paying more for the RX-7 than paying less for the Viper GT?
Also what steering dampers do you recommend? I think a sprint one would do the job, the bike wont be raced, its just for some TD action. Do you know of anything better for the money?
Also rearsets? I hear Gilles ones are made by cadburys and break at the slig...

I've had at least two different aliases PM me about dead monkeys from SNALP studies, and I would not be surprised if others got similar warnings. I got a feeling from which corner these rumors are coming from, and when you got them, think about the following:
a) IF this was indeed observed, who was the company practicing SNALPs? TKM or the many liposomal wannabes out there?
