Hybriding Multi/Synthetics?
(08 Oct 2008)
Do people hybrid multi's/synthetics in a racquet? I was thinking about putting a multi in the mains and synthetic in the crosses to cut down on costs of using a full multi job. Does this happen or will the playability go down?

Multi-regional DVDs and DVD Players
(04 Nov 2008)
Ok, so I am thinking about buying some Multi-regional (or Multi-zone) DVDs (ie. Region 4 & 2, or Region 1's) but I dont know anything about them. The DVD hasn't been released it in Aust yet, and I dont think they will anytime soon...
I know you can goggle your exact DVD player to find out if its 'Multi-regional' but at the moment I use my house mates DVD player or my computer.
So how common is it that a DVD player will be Multi-regional?
And will my computer be able to play Multi-regional?
TIA

Multies in Game S tourny?! I hate you Multies!
(16 Oct 2008)
All this happended in a course of 3 hours, in game S. It looks like a war to me in the alliance, only the war is one sided. The price of oil has gone up to $3999 / barrel.
Basically, DARPA, who you will read about in the second page of this thread, runs 25 countries and ruins the fun for everyone. Think about this, in a game where's only 50 players actively playing, half of countries are ran by the same person?
This is his strategy so far:
Some of his countries are industrialists, and they mass...

Quadruple multi boot, install in which order & help selecting Linux version...
(25 Sep 2008)
I'm starting to think about my drive image files for the upcoming Intel Nehalem platform, and I thought I'd include Linux as one of the OS. I do not use Linux now, but because of abundance of hard drive space, I would like to install Windows 7 Beta - Vista - XP - Linux multi boot.
I'm still on a 2002 computer where I installed Windows Me first and then Windows XP automatically recognized it and setup up an easy multi boot screen for both of them. That's what I'd like again, so should I install L...

Hybrid Setup Question: 16 gauge multi (main) x 17 gauge poly (cross)
(30 Aug 2008)
Thinking about this setup since I break at crosses all the time (Yonex 850 (16) (mains) & Cyber Power (17) (crosses) ). I figured I can get more playability out of the 17 gauge poly.
I am concerned with the polys cutting through the multi's since it's thinner. Should I reduce my tension on the crosses or mains for this reason?
thx.

Multi-Track Mixing and Mastering Exercise
(04 Nov 2008)
This question is for some of the seasoned mixing and mastering gurus on this forum. I recently discovered that there are numerous original multi-track recordings available on the Web. One I recently found was the original, raw 24-track recording of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. I was thinking about taking a stab at mixing the raw tracks to see how close I could come to the original recording. I have found my own mixes to fall short of expectations so was thinking this might be a valuable exercise...

new multi effects pedal/interface
(16 Nov 2008)
i posted a similar thread about this yestarday, but got a grand result of 0 answers so im going try again in a different manner
instead of buying (online) a tube amp based on other peoples opinions, i have decided to buy some sort of multi effects pedal or interface (think Pod Studio, Toneport) so that i can hear most high end amps (even if they are cheap copies of the sound) and in a year's time, buy the amp/effects that i use most in their real form
my budget would be tops $400 and i play a bi...

A Petition to Beg DC member Ecaradec to write Multi-FScript v2.0
(07 Nov 2008)
It's been incredible to watch what people like czechboy have done with ecaradec's indescribably cool FScript plugin DLL for FARR, that allows people to write plugins for FARR using javascript.
Indeed i am still completely amazed at what ecaradec created.
And then watching how czechboy ran with the concept and just kept making more and better plugins.. i'm speechless.
It's only the amazingness of ecaradec's Fscript that makes one think about other possibilities.
This post is meant to start a thre...

multi piece bodies
(09 Nov 2008)
just curious what you guys think about this topic.
i guess this relates more to import guitars than domestically made but..
how many pieces is too many in your opinion?
ive seen singlecuts with as much as 4, ive seen pointy guitars as many as 8.
but how many is too many? does it matter if a guitar is 3 piece but when you pick it up and play it, it feels and plays great?
what are your guys thoughts on this?
