What do you think about the Sylar/Elle relationship?
(19 Nov 2008)
Well, I find it overall cute, and has a potential for further developing. The actors have chemistry. But I don't like the fact that was a little bit rushed. I mean, Sylar and Elle barely had any scenes together, until the previous episode. I have the feeling that the writers didn't plan on making them romantically connected. Just the thought of them being together, popped in their minds, and they eventually decided to put them together. That part, in my opinion, is quite unrealistic. And also, I...

Something I've Been Thinking About
(27 Dec 2008)
When someone dies, such as a loved one, many people say 'It was God's will'. This leads me to believe that God decided that this particular person was going to die on X a day, at X at time. If he did indeed decide this, then it also makes sense that he decides what a person will die of, eg; cancer, car accident.
Does this mean that God controls our lives, and we are not in control of our actions or lives, because God has decided what will happen to us already? If not, what is the point of claimi...

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Suskind

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Suskind Perfume: The Story of a Murderer By Patrick Suskind.
I'm reading this at the moment, but really struggling with it. The premise is great, but I just can't find anyone in the book who I have any empathy with. I know I not supposed to like Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, but even still I like my main characters to have something I can say is positive about them.
I did however like:
Highlight to view spoiler: The passages in the cave, at that point I be...

Post Birth Abortion Not An Option It's Murder In The First Degree.
(24 Nov 2008)
I've Always wondered at what point as an infant considered a living being, because I myself at somepoint in life have stugled with the facts of abortion. Not that I need to worry about it now. I miss carried every time that I've been pregnant, but now I want a child, and had I had one of those children I'd would have been tickled pink, but does life begin at conception or at birth because a baby doesn't have the breath of life untill it's born. Stating this in my prevouse opinion that life begin...

"There is nothing in nature or science that clarifies that murder is wrong...
(01 Jan 2009)
Consider the following post from the General Religious Discussions Forum:
Quote: : Skeptic Obviously, the Christians who you know are a minority among fundamentalist Christians since the majority of fundamentalist Christians do support legislating religion, although they would be opposed to legislating religion if Muslims one day became the majority in the U.S. and legislated the Koran. Quote: : 777 Maybe defining "legislating religion" would help clear up the confusion. Quote: : Skeptic For exa...

There were two Murders in Dealey Plaza that Week-end. For many of us old enough to be aware of the horrific events that transpired from November 22 through November 24, 1963, the most traumatic was not even the murder of President John F. Kennedy, whom we had seen and admired or perhaps disliked from afar, or the murder of DP...

Honor, murder and "the law".
(25 Nov 2008)
In "The Whole News" forum, Featherock made a post that has actually been eating away at my thoughts. With the kind permission of the Council, I'd like to explore some of the concepts that are presented in this post. My thinking on this issue is somewhat all over the map, and I figured if someone would shoot holes at it for awhile, I could clarify some of the issues. So, here goes:
Quote: : There's no "thinking" about it. The facts are the facts. What he did was against the law, pure and simple....
