What so you think about Sarah Palin now? - Politics - Discussion Areas
(08 Nov 2008)
I would be very interested in hearing what people think about Sarah Palin now. It seems that aides in the McCain camp are throwing her under the bus. They have leaked that she didn't know Africa was a continent, that she didn't know which countries were part of the NAFTA agreement, and believe it or not, they are sending a Republican National Committee member to Alaska to take back her clothes!
I have also heard that her approval rating in Alaska dropped by 20 points or so. If so, why?

Politics, politics, politics!

Politics anybody?
Last night I was watching the debate between Senator Joseph Biden and Governor Sarah Palin. I couldn't help but notice how unprofessional Ms. Palin sounded at times. Senator Biden sounded professional at all times and stayed on the topic of the question. Governor Palin liked to hop subjects and talk about her state, which in the heat of the debate, I think nobody really wanted to hear.
So if you watched this debate and want to throw your two-cents in, go ahead! I'm interested i...

politics! politics! politics!
(29 Oct 2008)
Election is days away and I've got an idea who I'm voting for but I've really never been so unsure in an election. I really feel like I will be picking the lesser of two evils this time around.
So I want facts!!!! If anyone has any facts *not opinions because you can't back those up* let me know! The more I know the more of an informed decision I can make.
Now we are not all going to be for or against the same person. Debate is cool, but lets keep it friendly banter. I don't want to cause arguem...

ITT we are brits giving our opinions on domestic politics
(07 Oct 2008)
Britain has gone to hell over the past few decades thanks to Nu-Lab's horrendous socialist policies that have put this once proud nation in the gutter. The PC brigade at the BBC and the guardian who never leave WC1 constantly drivel on about what us "lesser mortals" should be doing and how we need to be saving energy and start recycling. WAKE UP LEFTISTS, what about the grandmother getting stabbed by chavs or the women and children up in Middlesborough who have to eat horses to stay alive becaus...

Politics Mod request
(29 Aug 2008)
As i was at work thinking about politics, i wondered if this could be done.
In Galactic Civilizations 2 they have a politics system of elections, parties, and other such things. I was wondering if one of the talented modders i see on here would be interested in making a mod that would set up a political system for civ bts.
each political party could have different attributes. Bonus's if the leader (YOU) are in the same party, or detriments if the leader is in a different party then the majority...

Politics in SWTOR

I stated a little bit of this in a last post;

But the more i think about it, the more it just runs in my mind
If we had politics in this game it would be awsome.
For instance, Voteing/Gaining rank in the star wars Politics.
as everyone knows in the star wars films, you just can't watch it without hearing somthing about the galatic senate, or the huge politics involved with what's going on. Incoorperating this into the game, will give those peo...

A little boy goes to his father and asks, 'What is Politics and why is that Gordon Brown on the television again?'
Dad says, 'Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I am the head of the family, so call me The Prime Minister.
Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.
We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People.
The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class.
And your baby brother, we will call him the Future.

A little boy goes to his dad and asks,'What is Politics?'
Dad says, 'Well son, let me try to explain it this way:

Your mom is the administrator of the money, so we call her the

We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People.
The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class.

Now think about that and see if it makes sense.'
So the little boy! Goes off to b...
