I was thinking about this recently - we get potential clients coming in who are really professional. They do their research, work out what they want, compare their rivals and so on. They rock. They often end up with very cheap, effective websites.
But others come in, completely disorganised, only a vague idea of what they want. Others don't respect what we do or consider us to be just socially inept geeks. So thinking about a guy on here who was asking for geeks (quite innocently really - I mean...

Hello all,
I need opinions regarding the pros and cons of this dilemma.
What would be a better all around choice:
Upgrading to 4 - 28"x10x12 tires
or Upgrading to 2-28x9x12 and 2-28x12x12
I am looking for the pros and cons from anyone with more knowledge than myself...

Calling all designers out there....just want to get your opinions about a 4 page pamphlet of a client. Do you guy consider this to be professional?

I generally disregard whatever CD comes with a piece of hardware unless I need a driver of some sort. After all, I have the software I want and have no need for crippleware or me-too-ware. Video is for the point and shoot camera crowd. Its imbeded in our minds as a point & shoot camera feature. Now its a feature on a professional camera! Kinda ruins the "image" of the pro camera. It will be interesting if it will be on the future 1DS series cameras. I would love to have option to buy a 5D2 without the video for $200-$400 less cost. Video should have stayed video cams, cameras should have stayed cameras. I hope Canon is telling the truth, that video will not heat up the cmos sensor...

Is my name professional enough?

I went through 14 names last year and ended up getting Turf Trimmers. I figured with this one I could keep adding descriptions for services I added later such as "Lawn care" to "Landscape Management" to "Lawn and Landscape" and so on.
This year my customers were more based on personal encounters and noone really knows me as Turf Trimmers yet. I want my name to look good on an enclosed trailer or enclosed truck for advertising. The two big companys around here to compete with are Louisiana Landsc...

Pandoras box!
As with all DIY projects in this house, once you open up the lid you are very surprised!
I had planned to ceramic tile a small 70s bathroom, the floor space approx. 5x7 ft this side of the tub, the tub is staying put. We purchased this house some 10 years ago and have done nothing to it but paint and cover the ugly vinyl with a bathroom carpet. Hey guys, i was recently diagnosed with TC, 90% Embryonal Carcinoma EC and 10% Seminoma. No Vas. Inv. and CT showed no swollen nodes. Stage 1A. So after the Orchiectomy Sept. 23rd , i saw my first oncologist on Oct 20th who said i was about 70-80% from Orchiectomy alone (my urologist.surgeon stated i was 60% cured). Anyway, my oncologist gave me the impression that he didn't Chemo as a preventive measure would be needed and thinks the Rplnd wouldn't be needed also. He suggested surveillance. He...
