1. Thinking about picking up a bike   (11 Nov 2008)
Hey all This past month has really got me wanting a bike (for more practical reasons if you can believe that). I currently DD my S and it's just such a hassle getting stuck in traffic on the way to school for an hour. Bumper to bumper is just not good for the S. So I've decided on getting a bike. I'm enrolling in an MSF course in December, and hopefully by Jan. I'll be riding! I was just wondering if you guys could suggest some good bikes to start on. I've read the thread but the suggestions see...

5. New to biking: Opinions on a bike (a bit different I think?)   (13 Oct 2008)
What's up everybody, I'm fairly new to the BMX game. I've been skating for a good 7-8 years at this point and I'm looking for something new. Street BMX caught my interest, so I came here looking for some opinions on the bike I've been looking at. A few background notes: I'm fairly big, 6'2", 210 pounds, 21 years old. Now, as I've been shopping around for bikes I've been seeing that for taller people (read: above 6' is what I've been seeing) you need to look for more "specific" dimensions, so I'v...

6. Thinking about getting an e-bike   (10 Oct 2008)
Hello all, I'm thinking about getting e-bike in the spring next year. My reasons for wanting one are fairly simple. I live less than five miles from work each way. If traffic is good, I can get to work by car in 15 minutes or less. If it's not so good, 20 - 30 minutes. On the other hand, the route I take to get to work has lots of bike paths and side streets, meaning I could probably bypass the heaviest traffic and still get to work in about the same time I could when traffic is running well. An...

8. Lookin at a new bike...08 IH MKIII - opinions?   (23 Sep 2008)
I think the time has finally come to move to the beautiful world of full suspension. I have been riding hard tails for years and of the ones that I have ridden, full suspension is definitely the way to go. With that said, I have been looking at the 08 IH MKIII....here is a link to it on Randall Scott. http://www.rscycle.com/2008-Iron-Horse-MKIII-Comp-All-Mountain?sc=7&category=531 Just curious if anyone has ridden and what their opinions are? The reviews on mtbr.com have been nothing but good. I...

9. Naked used bike buying decisions. Input, opinions and experiance wanted. ...   (29 Oct 2008)
Okay, so I'm looking into a bike I can comfortably commute, tour and carve on.  My top four are 2003 SV1000N, 01-05 Kawasaki ZRX, 03-07 Buell XB9/12, and pre 05 Triumph S3.  A limiting factor is my price range of less than $4500.  I have a 03 SV1000N located for $4K bone stock and the ZRX's are pretty easy to come by for sub $4500 in good shape and low miles.  Fuel injection is the only thing the ZRX doesn't have that keep it from being first place overall.  I only want a naked bike otherwise I'...

10. Little bike adventures on Kenosha and Two Elk (xposts); Curt Gowdy next? ...   (16 Oct 2008)
Hey front rangers, So I've been in your midst for the past few months living in an RV doing some work for a company in Wheat Ridge. During that time I've gotten in some great rides in the area: a sweet epic at Buffalo Creek;a strenuous but rewarding out-and-back between Waterton and South Platte; a pretty good tour of Golden Gate SP, shorter outings to Chimney Gulch, Centennial Cone, Red Rocks, Morrison Slide, Dakota Ridge (today!), Lair o' the Bear and Mt. Falcon; and a couple of big days I wro...
