1. What do you think about Ka Bars?   (07 Nov 2008)
What do you think about Ka Bars? So I got one off of the internet and I like it a lot. I got the model 1211, the black Kraton G handle with the 7 inch blade. I will use it for camping and hiking. Of course I am relatively new when it comes to nicer knives, and every review of the knife I could find described it as "razor sharp, never gets dull, indestructible etc". There were a lot of people who described it as never getting dull. So I figured that that was the non knife guru opinion, so I am wo...

2. WHAT WE THINK ABOUT PAKISTAN   (24 Oct 2008)
WHAT WE THINK ABOUT PAKISTAN PAKISTAN IS NOW DECLARED AS A TERRIRIST STATE.  BUT WE HAVE GOOD RELATION WITH PAKISTAN.  OBVIOUSLY WE ARE USING PAKISTAN FOR OUR INTEREST.  BUT PAKISTAN IS A COUNTRY IF GIVE MUCH HELP TO PAKISTAN THAN IT IS NOT SAFE FOR US AND THE WORLD ALSO.  IT IS VERY MUCH LIKE THAT WHEN AMERICA GAVE SUPPORT TO ALKAIDA AND TALIBAN AND LATE THEY BECAME THE ENEMY OF AMERICA ITSELF.  AND CRASHED THE WORLD TRADE TOWER.  LIKE THE SAME PAKISTAN IF IT WILL COME IN THE HAND OF THE EXTREM...

3. Training Camp or 2 weekends of racing   (31 Oct 2008)
Vacation's offer, and the new season starts tomorrow. So I'm trying to plan out the schedule. I'm thinking about doing CTS's spring training camp in February in Tuscon. Unfortunately based on the usual race schedule her, that would mean I would miss 2 weekends of racing (Humanity RR and CRt, and Sanford/Lake Mary crits). Anyone done the CTS camps? or just opinions on a weeklong trianing camp vs racing.

4. Wilderness Camping/Hiking In The US   (03 Nov 2008)
Where are the best (in Our Humble Opinions) places to go camping and hiking (perhaps also hunting/fishing) in deep wilderness, within the US (to include Alaska and Hawai'i)? Falken

5. We're leaving this afternoon to go camping, so what am I Community   (29 Aug 2008)
likely to forget? LOl We haven't been camping in a few years. We bought a pop up camper this summer and fixed it up. This is the first chance we've had to take it out. I just know I'm going to forget something even though I'm the queen of being prepared. LOL So, those of you with camping experience, what am I likely to forget, or not think about taking, until it's too late?

6. If you have mobility/medical issues, is camping a good way to go?   (19 Oct 2008)
OK, we used to camp at disney in our popup. Then DS (now 5), was diagnosed with cyctic fibrosis and we stopped camping and bought DVC. DS is doing much better now, but I'm having issues. I have some problems with my spine and a kind of arthritis that's causing damage to tendons. Sometimes I need a walker, most times a cane. (I'm 42) My first instinct was DVC was better for both of us but I'm starting to have doubts. If we camp (and we might trade up) we can bring anything and everything we might...

7. Ironhead Motorcycle camping   (09 Oct 2008)
A comment Hillclimb68xlch made in another post about Daniel Boone Nat.l forest got me thinking out some of my favorite rides- which usually involved camping. Red River Gorge, Ky: some really nice roads, beautiful scenery (especially in the fall) and it's in the middle of a Nat.l forest so you can camp anywhere you want. We would drive out on one of the old ridgetop roads, stash the bikes and camp out on the cliff tops. Just thinking about it almost makes sitting at work acceptable. Hocking Hills...

8. Making camping easy   (02 Nov 2008)
I think I spend more time thinking about camping than really camping but it is good thoughts. Most of the time I thinking about gear, tricks, or mods to make camping easy. At present I am using a Coleman 2 BURNER ELECTRONIC IGNITION PROPANE GRILL STOVE Model No. 9922-A50. The grill side has a single hold and pan for drippings and I put a piece of aluminum foil in the bottom to catch drippings. I also cook on a piece of aluminum foil on the grill to avoid having to clean the grill. I spray the fo...

9. Should the NHL Force players to decide Prior to Training Camp?   (05 Sep 2008)
I think a bad precedent was set last year with what Niedermayer and Selanne did regarding their retirement decisions. Personally I think it is ridiculous. Teams only put up with it because the players that are doing it are so good, they are willing to take the chance they will come back in order to better their teams. Now, Sundin is doing the same thing. Thank god Joe Sakic is a Grade A class act and made his decision prior to training camp. Truly a classy player. So basically my question is thi...

10. SeaWorld Adventure Camps   (16 Oct 2008)
Hi All, For many years I have considered sending my kids DD 15 and DS 13 to the SeaWorld Adventure Camps for one session. Time is flying by and I am really considering it for Summer 09. Has anyone gone to this themselves or sent their children? My DS loves animals, are there many boys his age that go or we he be the only one with a group of girls? I would love any info or insight into the program. Was there enough to keep the kids busy? Did you feel they were supervised enough? I am not sure if...
