1. Thinking about joining a gym...   (20 Oct 2008)
This is my first time i've ever posted in this forum.... Looking for opinions...there are only two gyms around where I live, Nautilus, and AnyTime fitness. Anyone use either one? Opinions? I'll say this, Nautilus is attractive to me because it is right down the road from where I live. I just went by there and spoke with one of their desk guys.

2. Thinking about fighting a speeding ticket   (22 Sep 2008)
All right, I wanted to get your opinions on this and see if I have a chance of fighting this in court. I got a speeding ticket on Highway 66 going from Evansville going into nearby Chandler. This is a four-lane highway. When you get out of Evansville the speed limit is 60. Right before you get to the Chandler city limit it drops to 50, a tenth of a mile, 45. Now, if you aren't on your toes looking at all the signs posted it's really easy to get thrown off, since the highway remains 4 lanes and t...

3. thinking about stopping bf at 7 months - so many questions   (30 Sep 2008)
I'm so conflicted. I just don't know what to do. Baby is 7 months old. He is so disinterested in nursing. He may stay on the boob a minute at a time before flailing around and looking at other things. Then he will latch back on and then he's off and it goes like that. Nursing in public is out now because he is so loud and wiggly - it's like a "hey look at my mom's boob" show as he screams to get their attention and then moves out of the way for all to see. He often pulls away like he's just not...

4. RRFF Review - something to think about…   (10 Oct 2008)
This post is not going to make me the most popular bloke on here, but sharing opinions and providing information is the greater purpose of this website so I’ll have a crack. As an Ausfisher (with a background in science) I was at one of the recent RRFF meetings and was astonished with the way the DPI&F estimates of recreational catch and the varying estimates of the stock assessment (5 estimates ranging from conservative to less conservative) were immediately discounted as “fudged figures” and “...

5. Thinking about selling my car   (09 Nov 2008)
I have been listening to a lot of Dave Ramsey and reading online and I have come to the realization that I am going to have to sell my car in order to get my life in order. I graduated college a year ago with $30,000 in student loan debt and I went out and bought my new 2008 Mazda 3 in May for $18,000. I financed for 5 years and now owe $16,700 on it. I want to become debt free as soon as possible and it's going to be so much harder with a $333 a month car payment. I want to sell the 3 and get a...

6. Thinking About Stepping Down from 16" to 15" Wheels for MPG Gain   (27 Oct 2008)
I am considering switching from 16" oem alloys to 15" oem alloys on my '05 PASSAT to increase fuel economy. What kind of MPG increase should I expect and is there much difference in ride comfort?

7. What do you lifters think about the Smith machine?   (02 Nov 2008)
Hello W&W, At my gym, they recently got a new Jones Smith machine. The regular ones only move up and down, but this one moves in two directions: up-and down, and back and forth. It looks like this: I really like it for the following reasons: I workout alone, so I have nobody to spot me. This is safer as it has rails to keep me from crushing myself, and twisting the bar will lock it in place. It's better than regular stationary machines. You get quite a bit of stabilizer work in. There is somethi...

8. Thinking about getting a RIA FS, what's the down side?   (25 Sep 2008)
Thinking about getting a RIA FS, what's the down side? I'm thinking about getting this for my first 1911. I've hear lots good things about RIA, so before I make up my mind is there any downside of buy this gun? RIA 1911 FS

9. Our “ stuff”; weighing us down? Something to think about!   (30 Sep 2008)
One of the things that struck me while I was investigating alternative stretchers; we are all focusing on is our equipment (I do include myself) and we must be missing the point of focusing on the traveling experience. By adding more of the almost homelike creature comforts we are constantly adding weight and complexity that will slow us down when traveling. Are we not spending too much time in setting up and breaking down camps? I tried to move to 15 minutes for setting up and breaking down cam...
