On A Happier Note- Favorite Quote From Him?
(31 Oct 2008)
I miss him like crazy but it makes me happy to think about times that he said or did things that had me laughing or blushing. I guess when I think about him and his personality it reminds me of how much he's really worth to me. So whats the funniest, sadest, etc thing your man's said to you?
The 1st time I met him (we were on the school bus) I was sitting next to someone and he walked up to the seat and told my friend, "Excuse me but she wants to sit next to her boyfriend" and he sat next to me.....

My Succes Story (Similar to the post in Mental Health...but happier! & more...
(06 Nov 2008)
My Mental Health Took Me Around The Country.
Ive always had problems from the age of 6 Thats when I first saw my psychiatrist. Ive been on medication since the age of 14.
At 17 the real problems started. I began to get very depressed & I started to self harm using scissors. One night, I decided Id had enough, I took an overdose. I didnt want to die; I just wanted the pain to stop. After Id swallowed the tablets I went straight to my mum who took me to Hospital. I was discharged a few hou...

Are Childfree People Happier?
(28 Nov 2008)
I've been researching the "risks and benefits" , if you will, of having children. Lots of different opinions out there. Those of you with children: if you could do it all over again, would you change anything? Those who have decided not to have children - do you think you are happier?

My new ride!!!Couldn't be happier :)
(15 Oct 2008)
Taking a trip to Rio Wisconsin this Sunday was a trek in itself. The small town was surrounded by twisty backroads and beautiful scenery. My objective was to check out an 01' Aprilia RSV, take her for a ride, then carefully contemplate buying the bike. The specs are:
01 Aprilia Mille 15k miles
Super rare corse daul sided exhaust...over $3000 retail (for racing purposes only )
MES Heads (complete with cams, head work, valves, the whole lot) over $4500 on that reciept
Geared -1, +1
New Tires
MES V...

Amusing To Think About, Though Of Course it Won't Happen....

The New York Times
By GAIL COLLINS
November 22, 2008
Thanksgiving is next week, and President Bush could make it a really special holiday by resigning.
Seriously. We have an economy that’s crashing and a vacuum at the top. Bush — who is currently on a trip to Peru to meet with Asian leaders who no longer care what he thinks — hasn’t got the clout, or possibly even the energy, to do anything useful. His most recent contribution to resolving the fiscal crisis was lecturing representatives of the w...

Something I've been thinking about the trifix
(17 Sep 2008)
and connecting it all together.
Well... I don't know how to gather my words (since I haven't done so... or at least my thoughts), but I guess I'll try. And I think I finally understood something.
Ok, this will bring back up the subject of id, ego and superego though.
At any rate, I've been wondering how each has an effect over the other, or if each has an effect over the other. As well as how a type is created and stuff.
I find it pretty interesting, of course.
Umm... well, perhaps I should star...

Seeking your opinions on a genuine dilemma...
(01 Dec 2008)
First, hello. I'm a long time lurker - normally not a public person so have hesitated to post before, but the strength of my dilemma now outweighs my shyness. I read alot of your posts and opinions, and some seem really promising but then go off-thread - like the one on inflation, money and house prices. Sorry it's a bit long, you could skip the background and go straight to the questions....!
My situation is this:
For many years I worked too hard in a stressful job where the only aim was to ear...

Opinions on ChronoTac Submariner (70's edition)?
(18 Nov 2008)
I have one of their GMT models and it's just OK. For the money I'm much happier with my Alphas.
The Chronotac looks OK. It was what it looked like on eBay. It does hack but it it is very hard to set. the minute hand seems to float all over the place. The tiniest movement of the crown sends it way off the mark. Time keeping is fine. Overall I consider it the worst watch in my collection. Wish I'd saved $30 and bought a black dial Explorer GMT from Alpha.
